All news and build up for are next two away games will appear on this thread. Its also the match day thread for both fixtures. So how many points will we get from the six on other vote now. The poll closes 27/09/2014 at 02:31 PM
Let's carry on taking the game to them instead of sitting back and holding out, I'm all for respecting these teams but every time we do we seem to play ****e and get beat, if giving it the large one and demanding we win because we're a 'bigger club' means playing better and getting results then I'm all for it. In reality though the only real test should be Eastleigh as they have spent well over the summer and have some class players for this league, if were to be serious about challenging this season then we should be smashing teams like Southport.
I can see us going on a good run now. In fact I can't see us getting beaten, and it's ages since I felt like that...
I'm still not sure about are away form I know we beat Lincoln but when it comes to playing away against smaller clubs at tiny venues it just hasn't happened yet. Southport are 20th so should be beatable and Eastleigh are one behind us (which might change come Tuesday week). Southport have lost three at home so I'm going for 2-1 Gas victory. Cunnington and Sinclair to score the goals. Eastleigh are unbeaten at home and are the tougher out the two opponents but haven't really been tested at home by any of the promotion faves except for FGR who they drew 2-2 with. My hearts says a 2-1 Gas win but I think this game maybe where are run ends (sorry for being negative) so will be saying a 2-1 win for Eastleigh (sorry ). Matty Taylor to score So for me its going to 3pts from 6.
I think we will beat Southport to win our 5th game in a row but then come unstuck at Eastleigh. So I am predicting 3 points from 6. Southport has a poor home record: They have the 20th best (5th worst) home record. Played 5 at home. Won 2, Drew 0 and Lost 3. Scored just 3 goals conceding 6 = -3 goal difference. Only kept 1 clean sheet in these 5 home games. Failed to score in 3 of these 5 home games. 6 points from possible 15. I think we will win this although our away form is not great but we should have more than enough about us to win. Eastleigh is another matter. They will be up for this. Turley could give out some info to his new club. They do have some good players at this level due to having a sugar daddy paying out stupid money. I think a point here would be a good result. But I dont think we will get this. Also they have a good home record: They have the 6th best home record. Played 6 at home. Won 4, Drew 2 and Lost 0. Undefeated at home. Scored 11 goals conceding 6 = +5 goal difference. Only kept 2 clean sheet in these 6 home games. Scored in all 6 home games. 14 points from possible 18. Will be a tough game. However, we ended Halifax's winning run and we ended Wrexham's winning away run. So we could be the team that ends other clubs good runs.
If we played Barnet (top of the league) now instead of when we did play them, I wonder how well we would do.
I've officially jynxed us! i've voted for 1 win and 1 loss. been voting for rovers to lose for past few games and look what happened.
that will be bluebaldee then talking about baldee, now i know why he hasnt posted so much recently... http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristo...-garden-door/story-22958909-detail/story.html

I'm going for a win at Southport and a defeat at Eastleigh (who I think will be near the top at the end)
Still waiting for JC to start banging in the goals for them after some fans on here thought he was worth the reported 200 odd grand were offering.

You cheeky ****er I have been having fun on the Post website, but not that story - I've been mainly winding up Teds. Anyhow, Eastleigh's ground looks like a football pitch with a garden shed built alongside. They should have spent a bit more money on another stand rather than Midson and Constable! I think we'll do things the Rovers way and scrape a 1-1 draw (Martin) at Southport and then beat Eastleigh 2-1 (Taylor, Clarke).
