Ok Roy fair enough mate as I don't profess to be a pikey expert but the loss of Dack seemed to hurt you, although I wasn't aware of the other players. The loss of any goal scoring attacking midfielder to anyone would tbf.
Cheers mate. Dack was more the last clamp left in the scaffolding...someone nicked that last piece and it collapsed like a pack of cards haha Im hoping our match has no significance unless autos....both teams need to save it for play offs
I'm sure it'll be a good occasion and we owe you one, apparently you're not going to give us many tickets.
Won't have to worry about that then mate , Wigan will win league 1, reckon Burton won't be in the top 2 for long
Now that was dropped points. 1-0! Should have won that. Seen some snatches (No! Not that kind) on Face Book. Bradford were real divers, eh?
Autos gone now for me brissy, had a bad feeling about this game as it's a **** hunting ground for us even though all records have to go at some time. Looking over our shoulders now for a playoff spot but still expect us to secure one. Prompted at the home of football with Romeo scoring the winner against the pikies has a nice fateful ring about it!!
Like I said before Steve, hopefully our game will be insignificant by then, neither of us is going to risk injury in that game IF playoff's is secured. More importantly tomorrow, the one game I will be keeping an eye for the result of is Barnsley at Port Vale, as much has I hate Vale we need them to do us both a massive favour tomorrow. We need Burton to start making a clean sweep for that title, and hopefully they can take all the points against both Wigan and Barnsley at future dates. Noting Burton probably have one of the toughest run ins starting at your place tomorrow. Just to look at the outside bet of Rochdale, they are at Wigan tomorrow, so either way that game is going to in both our favours what ever happens.
Exactly Roy and we'll beat them as our home form is much better now. Noticed Rochdale have been sneaking up much the same as Barnsley's great run of form that's got them into playoff reckoning.
I wouldn't like to call your game, Burton just seem unbeatable at times, although gives me a smile to think I was at their place when we came out of L2 and who played for us that day, Romeo. Clearly there was some investment going in at the club but even I never expected them to do this well. Just looked back at my report on that day...MA fielded a young team at Burton as we had already secured the title, two players to note were Bradley Dack and Romeo were given a run out
And our investment in him till summer 2019. http://www.newsatden.co.uk/54839-mahlon-romeo-signs-long-term-millwall-deal.html
Cheers Steve, I didn't know he had just signed a 3 year. The lad clearly got a stroke of luck with injuries giving him the step up, but it's normally the way. Not really sure what happened to the lad at Gills. Like I said previously he got his chance in the final game of our champions season at Burton in L2, but after that he sort of disappeared off the radar from a noticeable point of view. For all the good stuff MadDog did if there was one criticism I always held against him was his lack of trust in the youth players. Something I wrote about with passion more than once, however, not even sure I can blame that on him, we had the totally incompetent PT but Peter Taylor was the opposite and although I could chuck plenty of faults at him he was always good with the youth, the two opposites of MA/PT. Then obviously Romeo never fitted in to JE's plans, which seems odd a little and maybe something I need to pose as a question to fellow Gills supporters.
