Certainly on current form you lads are in with a good chance of making an unbelievable turn around of your season. Hope we are both sorted before our match for play-offs, then take autos as come what happens. Hopefully my good luck message jinx's you against us in the challenges of the final few months
Thanks for your 'unkind' good wishes, BRB. Yes, since Bomber took over we do seem to have improved markedly. I seriously doubt we can make AUTO from here as the top two are a good few points ahead of us and playing well, but, of course, it is possible. The team appear to have confidence in themselves and our home form is improving. My New Year wish is for us to be beating Villa next season, oh, yea, and that other team.
I haven't given up totally on autos yet but Burton are over the horizon so realistically there's only 2nd to play for, the whole top 6 have been dropping points so you never know. Most probably we'll have to settle for the playoffs which we'd have taken at the start of the season.
we have had and still have a hard set of fixtures in March now with Bradford away and Burton still to come i thought at the begining of March if by the end we can still catch Wigan we WILL so far so good but 2 tough games to come a win Saturday would be fooking magic
Actually I wouldn't disagree with that but...you could be playing us at the wrong time, our strongest players are out injured at the mo, but come April we hope to be back to full strength at a crucial time, so even if we have lost an auto chance by then, we could still throw a spanner in the works for other teams. Albeit last two games, if we were certain play-offs and no chance of autos, would we really risk players before the semi's - i doubt it
We have had key players missing too but we have quality to step in sorry if ya bench is full of donkeys
No mate I was hoping for results in those games so nothing negative at all, not least after being 2 up at Swindon & battering Wigan. It ties in with dropping points as the theme, top 6 have dropped points like I've said including us.
No mate, our slump started with the loss of Egan in February along with the return of Oshi to Cardiff, then we lost Dack, three influential players. We lost El-Abd when he had only just come in to the side, then Loft our captain got injured...everything just went from bad to worse. Hopefully now it's only a matter of weeks before we are over this mess. The only good news from February was getting Samuel back, I believe Oshi's return was timed to cover the play-offs, hence the waiting time for his return.
Deffo mate and at least we still got something from those games whereas years ago perhaps we'd have lost them, not giving up on autos yet till it's obvious as no one is running away with 2nd place, Burton are out of sight for me.
