Aston Villa on to a winner here with Remi Garde ... no-one expects anything from this match, so there is nothing to lose by way of points or reputation. We have escaped the clutches of SKY and BT Sport in their January 2016 schedules, apart from the KO time in the Home game against Leicester City. To recap, these are AVFC's matches shunted for TV, all on SKY : EPL Sunday 13/12/2015 : Aston Villa 13:30 Arsenal EPL Saturday 19/12/2015 : Newcastle United 17:30 Aston Villa EPL Saturday 16/01/2016 : Aston Villa 17:30 Leicester City
EPL Saturday, 21/11/2015 : Everton v Aston Villa, KO 15:00 hours. My AVillaFan prediction, made on 02/11/2015 : Everton 2-2 Aston Villa Streams : Cricfree - Everton v Aston Villa Feed2All - Everton v Aston Villa
EPL Saturday, 21/11/2015 : Everton 4-0 Aston Villa I was spared most of this match, the stream for Rangers' match started some fifteen minutes after kick-off, so I only saw Everton's first goal live. AVFC remain 20th in the EPL on 5 points and are 5 points from 17th too. Attendance : 38,424 (SSN)
You were absolutely ****e mate. The worst Villa side I've seen in my lifetime. The way he set you up was always going to lead to a heavy defeat. You were playing 4-6-0 for most of the first half, and you're not good enough to sit deep against a side like us for 90 mins. Once the first went in his game plan was in tatters and you just had nothing in midfield to compete with us. I'm afraid you look like relegation certainties unless he can dramatically change the squad in January, but it may be too late then anyway.
Remi Garde has not had much time to get his ideas across as a new manager, what with the international break and the trauma of the terrorist attacks in Paris happening between the match at Everton and his first match after three days in the job, against Man City. He has also got the Captain Mainwaring 'Stupid Boy' problem : Skysports - Jack Grealish left out of Watford game by Aston Villa ... but we are not all 'doomed' just yet, help might be at hand : Skysports - Jack Grealish receives offer of help from Paul Merson EPL Saturday, 28/11/2015 : Aston Villa v Watford, KO 15:00 hours. My AViilaFan prediction, made on 24/11/2015 : Aston Villa 2-1 Watford

EPL Saturday, 28/11/2015 : Aston Villa 2-3 Watford That was an unfortunate result today, which our overall play did not deserve. This combined with the other results sees AVFC still 5 points behind 19th & 18th and now 7 points adrift of 17th. I for one do not think the situation is irreversible, but, ... we must cut out giving the ball away !!! Attendance : 35,057 (SSN)
EPL Saturday, 05/12/2015 : Southampton v Aston Villa, KO 15.00 hours. My AVillaFan prediction, made on 24/11/2015 : Southampton 2-2 Aston Villa
EPL Saturday, 05/12/2015 : Southampton v Aston Villa, KO 15.00 hours. Streams. Cricfree - Southampton v Aston Villa Feed2All - Southampton v Aston Villa
EPL Saturday, 05/12/2015 : Southampton 1-1 Aston Villa Phew ! This result, combined with the others today, sees the gap to 17th narrow to 6 points. Attendance : 29,645 (SSN)
EPL 05/12/2015 : Chelsea 0-1 Bournemouth ... this result puts the gap from AVFC to 17th up to 7 points again. Nevertheless, I for one do not begrudge Bournemouth their victory, in a Season where we have beaten Bournemouth, Chelsea have beaten us and now Bournemouth have beaten Chelsea. Survival for Aston Villa will depend on Aston Villa, we must do what needs to be done, irrespective of the results other teams get.

EPL Sunday, 13/12/2015 : Aston Villa 0-2 Arsenal Ahead of this match Garde v Wenger was billed as student against master in the press. It showed, but I do not blame Remi Garde, even in normal circumstances students rarely beat their masters. Furthermore, Remi Garde has inherited the situation AVFC finds itself in and the ultimate responsibility for this is due to the neglect of the Club since MON left in 2010 by its supposed 'owner', Lerner. After the result today AVFC's total Form Points has fallen to 14 ... that is, points after 38 games. Attendance : 33,285 (SSN)
Larry fair play I think you're a good shout for best fan/poster on not606. There's plenty who drift in and out or who aren't around when their team are doing badly but here you are week in/ week out keeping it up. You were unlucky with the penalty today but overall your play just didn't merit much. I'm a Newcastle fan and am wary of our match next week. Lerner just seems to have lost interest in Villa and hopefully you will find a more interested owner. Keep up the good work (Larry that is, not Villa as there's not much good work to speak of).
Thanks for that, Haslam. Naturally we will both be backing our own team this Saturday, as all football fans should. We are all aware of the minority of haters, each club has them, but I trust the overwhelming majority of true Fans will get behind their teams for a game of (hopefully) good, entertaining football. Both Clubs have one thing in common, on which I reckon all their Fans would agree : our Clubs are stuck with 'Owners' of whom we want to see the back of, asap ! EPL Saturday 19/12/2015 : Newcastle United v Aston Villa, KO 17:30 hours, Sky Sports 1 HD For what it's worth (!), my AVillaFan prediction, made on 01/12/2015 : Newcastle United 1-2 Aston Villa
