    EPL, Saturday 03/10/2015 : Aston Villa 0-1 Stoke City

    This match clashed with Rangers' match and I was undecided what game to watch.
    Fortunately I watched Rangers on the stream, thereby saving myself x £s and an afternoon of frustration.
    After this, yet another defeat, AVFC remain 18th in the EPL, 4 points behind the Albion in 17th place.

    Attendance : 33,189 (SSN)

    EPL, Saturday 17/10/2015, Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa

    Not an unexpected result, but not the thrashing many had predicted and feared. Nevertheless, a defeat is not good enough, under any circumstances.
    Due to other results it is no change in the EPL, AVFC are still 18th and 4 points behind 17th place, which is now occupied by Bournemouth.

    This is a crucial match, a 'must win' game for AVFC, currently 19th in the EPL and 4 points from 17th.

    More happy away fans, it has become the norm at Villa Park !

    EPL, Saturday 24/10/2015, Aston Villa 1-2 Swansea City

    Another fruitless visit to Villa Park, yes because it was yet another defeat, but mainly because it was yet another dross performance from AVFC today. After taking the lead we conceded to a free kick, which folks around me commented that our goal was like an open barn door ... it was ... then fell behind ... again.
    This result sees AVFC still 19th in the EPL and we will be 20th if Sunderland beat Newcastle tomorrow.
    After the result today AVFC's total Form Points has dropped to 15 ... that is, points after 38 games.

    Attendance : 33,324 (AVFC)

    Thank You for your efforts on behalf of Aston Villa, Tim Sherwood.
    You tried your best, but sadly, your best was not good enough.
    I hope you can bounce back somewhere else.
    As has been mentioned (on AVillaFan), following the managerial path Teddy Sheringham has taken would be a wise move.

    Let us trust that Remi Garde can live up to the good reports of his abilities we have had, from Arsene Wenger and Gerard Houllier, who know and have worked with him.
    Fingers crossed Remi Garde's good record will translate into future success for AVFC !
