Yid isn't a derogatory word. It entirely depends on the context of it's use. Vardy was trying to fight the guy. He offered to take it outside. He's attempted to mitigate it after the fact, just as John Terry did. I didn't buy that, either. As none of this concerns Villa though, perhaps it's best if we drop it?
Not sure what your point is there. There are plenty of offensive words that aren't arrestable offences. It's still a derogatory term.
He wasn't trying to fight him because he was Japanese though, was he? Fair enough though. I can't be arsed with this two-ing and fro-ing.
1. But have Spurs won the "Big one" ?? 2. I'm sure Don Tottenham said he found Holte on a Villa forum a couple of years ago (I cannot recall the website name) , but the guy was not using his Holte label.
What exactly is it that makes you think you're better qualified to understand this issue than the group of fans whom it concerns? We have read every article and opinion piece written on the matter. We have interviewed hundreds of Jewish people both supporters and not supporters of Spurs. We have extensively surveyed our own fans feelings on the use of the word. We have fought and won cases in court. And your experience of the issue is? This obsession with our club is frankly bizarre.
Not a big fan of Stan Collymore, but: Bonus crying Geordie. I make him right about their utter lack of effort, respect for the club, the fans and the bloody game, frankly. The shambles starts above them, but they've put in a disgracefully small amount of effort this season. Anyone who's seen them warm up before games will tell you that.
How do you go down from being relegated? Step forward, Gabriel Agbonlahor: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36083746 Do these players have no common sense whatsoever? How did he not see this reaching the press? What a moron.
Think their fans should be on drugs as well, have a bit of LSD or Mandy and at least the experience at Villa Park will be a tad bit enjoyable.
It's the second time he's been suspended in three weeks - he was also dropped from the squad when photos of him smoking a shisha surfaced.
A year ago they were celebrating a new era...and a coming FA CUP final. ..think they have won 5 matches since last May (including cup games) Us and Leicester have both won 4 in our last 5 matches!
In the grand scheme of things, I'm actually disappointed in myself for initially predicting Villa to just avoid relegation at the start of the season. When you look on paper, what one player in that team would get into a top half side's starting XI, or even squad for the matter? Lescott may scrape a squad place if he's lucky but at his age he won't be an interesting prospect, Richards possibly too but I'm being kind to the pair because their form hasn't done them any justice, nor has Lescott's attitude, it's just a team of poor bottom-half to Championship calibre players with the mentality of real losers. Pretty much every bottom half club in the league has at least one or two players who could make an argument in being good enough to get into most top half teams XI's/ squads; Villa - No one. Newcastle - Wijnaldum, Perez, Sissoko, Krul and Townsend. Sunderland - Defoe and van Aanholt. Norwich - Redmond and possibly Bassong. Palace - Bolasie, Cabaye, Puncheon, Zaha and Dann. Swansea - Sigurdsson, Ayew and Williams. West Brom - Berahino, Fletcher and Foster. Bournemouth - Wilson, Afobe, Ritchie and Gradel, possibly even our old full backs. Watford - Deeney, Ighalo, Capoue and Gomes. Everton - A number of them to be fair, Barkley, Lukaku, Lennon, Baines, Coleman, Jagielka, Stones... Although Everton have been really disappointing by their standards. To think Villa went from a side that had the likes of Friedel, Dunne, Collins, Barry, Delph, Milner, Young and Downing plus one or two others to... Well nothing, is actually a damn shame. It's not often I give sentiment to opposition clubs but Villa are a great club with a very proud history and one man has seemingly sent them down absolute **** creak to the point where I think League 1 beckons in 2018.
Suspensions by club due to off-field behaviour: 2. Goals in all competitions: 1. Van Aanholt can't defend to save his life. Decent going forward, but he cuts in too much and would be better as a wing-back, for me.
Most full backs these days can't defend . Agree though, a wing-back would suit him, I like his attacking instincts.
Ahh yes, I remember the link with Green and I remember his cameo against us too. Done more in the 25 minutes he was on the pitch than the rest of their players who played the full 90.
Former Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli is being lined up for a surprise return to English football at Aston Villa. Well they're ****ed...
