Wow, I was actually expecting Jules to be in FI, late call for Sutil. He must have bags of cash.

Reckon FI are trying to bleed Ferrari a bit, got a gut feeling Paul will lose his seat if he is still 0.3 off Sutil.

There's still a chance the criminal didn't get the seat.

And now my theory of Di Resta getting dropped for Sutil and Bianchi doesn't sound so stupid anymore <laugh>

Yeah but the whole Klien/Liuzzi thing never really worked you need stability, put it simply they are going to have to grow a pair and just confirm one or the other. It's making them look unprofessional and amateurish, it's the sort of thing I would expect to see with Maurissa or HRT not a team who supposedly have aspirations of breaking the top five.

Sky Sources: Force India will reappoint Adrian Sutil for 2013

Sky Sources understand Force India will reappoint Adrian Sutil as team-mate for Paul di Resta, with the German filling the last remaining driver vacancy for the upcoming 2013 season.

After a year on the sidelines during which he was found guilty of grievous bodily harm following an incident in a Chinese nightclub, the 30-year-old will return to the team for whom he drove between 2007 and 2011 as a replacement for Sauber recruit Nico Hulkenberg.

After an absence measured at exactly 452 days, Sutil made his comeback behind the wheel of a F1 car at last week's Barcelona test when he immediately impressed in the VJM06.

That successful audition appears to have sealed the deal on a return which completes the 2013 grid and banishes French youngster Jules Bianchi, the other leading contender to partner Di Resta, to wait at least another year for his big break in F1.

According to Sky Sports F1 commentator, David Croft, the Frenchman will remain with the Silverstone-based team as reserve driver in 2013, despite being overlooked for a race seat.

The new F1 season begins on March 17 in Melbourne, Australia. Statisticians may be interested to know that, with Sutil's expected appointmentclosing the 2013 door on the likes of Heikki Kovalainen and Bruno Senna, only 16 of the 24 drivers who participated in the season-opening Australian GP a year ago will be on the grid for next month's curtain raiser.

    Sky Sources are usually right.

I will echo sentiments, I like Sutil as a driver (I think he's more talented than di Resta for sure) but Bianchi has real potential.

In any case, FI were in a nice position. Either you take the safe and reliable (and pretty quick) Sutil, or you take the inexperienced but pretty rapid Bianchi. It's a win/win.

Now can they drop Di Resta and have both Sutil and Bianchi

Sutil to Force India now official. Bianchi's future is unclear:

From this it sounds like they offered him the reserve driver role and he told them to **** off.

Lee McKenzie: "In the wake of the obvious problems between Luiz Razia and Marussia, the rumour is that Heikki Kovalainen is having a seat fitting with Marussia tonight"

Yes, this would be a great decision by Marussia, but I thought Heikki specifically told his management not to look for sponsors - so if Kovalainen signs for them but doesn't bring money with him, why the hell did they replace Glock?
