Monreal really has had a poor start to the season.

Southampton have been the better side and deserve the lead, thus far.
Tadic causing us problems as I expected he would.

 

We've been passing it so slowly. Haven't created anything. We're not going to trouble them if we carry on like this.

 

Another chance for Southampton after dallying on the ball in midfield. Poor again.

This has been a pretty bad half. I can't understand why we're taking so many touches with the ball and not passing it with more zip.

We keep trying to be too intricate in their half and then when we lose the ball, we make fouls because we're frustrated. Need to speed this up.

Poor first half but a lot better since the equaliser. Need to increase the speed we re being way toooooo slow.

Not great. We were deservedly behind after a slow and limp first 20 minutes, but when Koscielny equalised with a stunning overhead (against the run of play), we monopolised possession and pressed higher up the pitch. The problem is we still seem too content to pass it backwards and sideways to one another without making any penetrative passes.

Coquelin's a decent tackler, but his distribution isn't that great, which is why someone like Xhaka should be starting as he can initiate attacks and spread the play.

Romeu has been very good at intercepting, whilst Tadic and Redmond have caused a few issues with their movement.

Cazorla has probably been our best player. But we need to make more use of our width because that's where we look most likely to score. If we keep trying to pass it through the middle, we won't get any joy because they seem to get enough bodies back to limit our chances.

 

Need to bring Giroud and Sanchez on for Theo and the Ox.

 

Cech was very unlucky with the goal. It was a great save.

 

Oh Ozil, that is a horrific touch from someone so technically gifted.

 

Wenger really needs to stop with his regulation sub changes and make changes when our team isn't working well. He needs to bring Sanchez and Giroud on asap!

 

We should have loaned out Chamberlain as well, guy has become dog ****.

 

Well i'll be damned, he made a subs change before the magical 65 min mark at 63 min, Wenger means business! We'll see a different Arsenal now.

 

In other news, Wilshere makes his debut for Bournemouth, on as a sub in the second half.

 

At least we now have actual footballers in attack, might have a chance now.

 

I don't think we're gonna win this. We've not had chances aplenty but the chances we have had, a player has either mishit the ball or slipped or not got proper contact on the ball. Just doesn't seem like it's going to be our day.

 

Can we really begrudge Southampton a point if they (it looks like) get it?
