Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Sunday's game against Aston Villa:
    on team news…

Mesut Ozil is back in training.

on if anybody else is a doubt…

No. Oxlade-Chamberlain is not back. From Sunday, I think everybody else should be available.

    on Welbeck…

We are all devastated and very sad. When I say I’m very sad, the whole team is thinking like that. It is surprising news. I expected him to at worse miss the Euros, and that is already bad. To be out for such a long time, he had just come back after a year out. You imagine being a 25-year-old professional and you get news like that… we will have to support to him to cope with it.

    on a blow for England…

He was in the qualifiers as a player. He had a good understanding with the rest of the squad and he was versatile because he could play on the flank, through the middle and I believe it is a big loss for England as well.

Sorry about the lack of match threads for the past couple of weeks though thank you The Bear for stepping up. Had final examinations and my laptop also needed repairing.
Despite it ultimately being an underwhelming and disappointing season it has been fun making threads and discussing with everyone on here.

Giroud hat-trick - how many is that for the season now?

Yup, good luck on exam results and cheers for the match threads this year!

Great result and despite a disappointing, frustrating and empty-handed last half of the season, this was the best finish we could have gotten - 4-0 win, spurs losing and us finishing 2nd. A giroud hattrick was good. Short of changing the rules to give us 10 points for a win it was a good result for the day, even though overall the season is below expectation

Exams went well. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Glad to see we ended a disappointing season on a high by piping the Spurs. Hopefully next season (which I expect to be AW's last) delivers more glory.
We may argue and disagree on things but I love you bastards. Cheers and enjoy the summer tournaments and hopefully transfers in.

So, two FA Cups in last two seasons, highest league finish for 13 years this season. Is Wenger in or out?

Seeing as next season is the last year on his current deal I say he's earned the right to see it out and I'll support whatever decision the club makes from there. I do think he'll step down at the end of next season though. Let the man go and enjoy his vacation afterwards

By the way how did our midfield look with Santi and Jack in the middle?

Ahh I just seen that it was Coq and Santi in the middle and Wilshere, Ozil and Sanchez in front of them...

What a brilliant day. It's a shame that the atmosphere for the last 15/20 minutes of yesterday's game doesn't happen for 90 minutes of every game.
