Absolutely. That is their right and prerogative, and it arose from the vile personal sleights they felt they suffered as a result of The Sun's reporting. Yet, I do take Bodi's point (as I am sure you do, too, Archy), that that shouldn't be a reason for Robbie (of ArsenalFanTV) or anyone else to be brow-beaten into boycotting The Sun. I think you and I (and Bodi and Akky) boycott them for reasons that precede the Hillsborough tragedy.
I mention Akky in that sentence, but of course as he's only 12 years old he wasn't born then, so he hasn't lived long enough to have despised The Sun since before Hillsborough. My apologies.
Well if it's his job then good luck to him. I wasn't aware of the sun thing and him jumping into bed for money. However it may put people off from visiting his videos and he needs to consider whether the short term risk of using the sun in future (he gets moneys off them) versus his long term brand (x number of people may not necessarily tune in). I haven't listened to his video, but if he's been threatened obviously that is wrong and stupid. There are nutters and radical people all over the internet. However, that doesn't mean people can't think less of robbie and i think he's acknowledged that.
I would say that about 1% of AFTV's viewership is arsed about him "jumping into bed for money". You're welcome to question his morals but I highly doubt it'll affect the amount of people tuning in to laugh at Arsenal fans just because it says The Sun in the corner or whatever.
Well unfortunately we won't know about stats as theres no survey of this. Robbie on the other hand thinks it does matter as he's put out an apology video so evidently it has made a difference (maybe he did it for the threats that bod talks of or because he felt bad or because he thought it might affect viewership). Anyway good luck to him as he makes good videos although i only really watch about 3 people
The response that he got on that video was absolutely toxic when I posted it on here. The comment section was basically just **** The Sun and lots of criticism. I assume that he got similar stick elsewhere, judging by his response. People are entitled to work with them if they want. Other people are welcome to ignore all of their content if they do, though.
Tottenham Hotspur have contacted Robbie from Arsenal fan TV directly to apologize for his treatment at the hands of some of the individuals outside White Lane in the NLD the other day and to ensure him they will do all they can to make sure rival fans feel safe attending games at WHL. Much respect for them doing that, was a nice gesture. On the other hand.......Why in the **** did Arsenal football club not contact Robbie when AFTV crew were attacked the other week at the Emirates by FELLOW Arsenal fans? Why are Spurs showing more respect to AFTV that AFC? The Arsenal board really need a ****ing slap.....the way they are running that club is appalling. I am a Chelsea fan and its even pissing me off, tarnishing a British institution like that. What is wrong with these idiots?
