**** fecking final day once again, signed a presently crocked, injury prone Jonny Williams on loan and none of the Murphy money was used, as promised!! Wool has been pulled firmly over our eyes imo, who the hell sells their best striker, then fails to replace him? Oh and before you go on about Best, he was here long before Murphy leaving and was viewed as backup to Murphy!!
As weighty says, its easy to say we bid a million for a couple of players, especially when those players are valued much higher, ME, MM and co try to make it look like they are after players but sadly we always just fail, bad luck or hoodwinking? We are being ripped off folks!!
Have to say, I'm 1 of mick's supporters but even I'm staggered by this transfer window. We didn't have to wait until the last day to sign a striker. We tried to & whether it was the player who didn't want to come or ME not offering enough money (I would suggest the later) but the simple fact is we now have a back up in Best and a player with no confidence in Sears trying to lead the line. Think the new formation will be 4-6-0

I honestly don't think it's as bad as you're all making it out to be. We have a better squad now than we ever have had under MM. Murphy will be a loss, but I won't be losing any sleep over it as he was way past his best. Assuming we'll stick with the 433 formation, you have ward, who's guaranteed to start on current form, and then you have Pitman, Sears, Lawrence, Best vying for the other two slots. And don't forget in about 6 weeks we'll have Williams and McG to come back. For once we'll have a decent size squad and with players on the bench that can make a difference and change the game. Have faith lads, we'll be alright this year
Williams and didz? Both crocked and always will be! You have brought in two loans, which means once again, we are developing or improving fitness of other teams players, while our promising youngsters will be out in the cold. On the face of it, the squad looks OK but remember, three of those players ain't ours! Problem is, too many fans accept the current **** that is going on, not enough standing up to and protesting against ME and MM. Personally I am disgusted at the lies that come from the top and the bullshit that comes out of MMs gob!
When you say we will be alright, do you mean we won't get relegated? Coz you can't possibly mean we will make the playoffs, which has to be the minimum expected!
We'll be there or thereabouts again. No, I'm not saying we'll be promoted, but there are much bigger teams in this league...the parachute payments are killing this league. There's no way that smaller clubs can get in the play off these days. We have a decent squad, and I would be extremely surprised if we weren't challenging for top six. Hopefully it all comes together and the players gel, cos if they do, and we get a bit of luck, we could surprise one or two
For me the last couple of days have been underwhelming, if we would've got a target man instead of Williams I would have been very pleased by our transfer business. Other than Micks refusal to buy a specialist RB (we haven't had a recognised RB since 2009 now, that's over 7 years!!) and a midfield playmaker but I don't see that changing whilst Skuse is still here
