on thisisanfield The expiration date of the outline planning permission is September 2017, which means Liverpool have a year to submit a further application for more details on the design, or the outline approval would end. If LFC submit the additional application, they then have two years to commence building, meaning construction on the Anfield Road End would be needed to be started by late 2019 or earlier.
I think I read that the internal work on the main stand wont be done before January. Hopefully they will announce something after that. I don't think they will do it unless we have the extra champions league money. One season in the competition could pay for the whole thing if it costs the 50 million quoted.
Doubt it as the figures normally quoted in the media refer to revenue not profit. Seem to remember 2005 we made something ridiculous like £1.5m profit that year and although CL prizemoney has increased the best way of making money from it is qualify each year increase commercial revenue and just take the money from making group stage i,e, Arsenal
Of course, but a interest free loan until we get the required revenue would be an option. Especially since the additional income would pay for it anyway
it would take quite a few years for the extra profit to pay for the cost of the build and why should the owners chuck another interest free loan at the club unless they are looking at selling a few years later as the increased revenue will lead to an increase in value of club. our club like all others in the prem should be self sufficient considering the television revenues they are raking in.
They own the club, however it's financed, it's theirs. Them paying initially gets around ffp if required
Yes, although I think it would take over 10 years to repay which was the argument Ian Ayre made when downplaying the Anfield road extension. I hope the owners will think about the normal fans and helping us get more access to tickets rather than worrying about it taking longer to pay back because there's no corporate. Maybe though they don't plan to be here for the 10 years it takes to pay back am interest free loan. Then again, seen as we've actually spent no money this summer and the increased revenues with the TV money, there must be enough money to pay for it outright anyway.
The only thing to note is that sterling has collapsed in the summer and the cost of steel for this could be far higher as a result. Currently this might be making it harder. There's a huge amount of unknowns but what we do know is if we do not hear of detailed planning going in in the next 12 months we will be back to square 1.
115mil interest free for this plausible neatly 100mil just to get us afloat means fsg are well into us. I don't think this will they be here stuff and when will they sell is any help personally. I think they will be here and it's done OK by us over 6 years since our "rebirth" I think honestly if the main stand generates 25mil extra a year then this stadium will be moved on to phase 2 within 2 years.
#lfc's reserved matters application for Anfield's new store is approved. Expecting construction to start next month.
