Three Prem coaches adorn the list: 2 Conte 5 Jose 6 Pep http://metro.co.uk/2017/04/27/juven...orld-ahead-of-chelseas-antonio-conte-6601635/ No Klopp is surprising, given the dreadful squad he presides over
Wasn't Pep once considered the best in the World? Why is Pep even on this year's list? With the squad of players he has, wouldn't a better accolade be "Worst Coach In The World?"
Also, the fact that both Mourhino and Pep are voted ahead of Poch is an absolutely ****ing joke! That has to be a wum-article?
It is an European study, beyond the parochial eyes of Little England. So I guess Poch's CL car crash did not help
Whereas both Pep and (especially) The Nearly Redundant One covered themselves in as much glory in Europe as they have in the Prem, yeah?
Ouch! ... plus... and like him or loath him, Mourinho already has one trophy this season ... and could well win another
It's hard to gauge how good Pep really is seeing as he's managed Barcelona and Bayern who already had great squads and are always expected to be in the top 2 of their leagues. Coming to the EPL, even with Man City has been a real eye-opener for him, i'm sure.
Indeed. And it all goes to show that playing a certain style in one league doesn't necessarily translate across leagues. I think Pep is rather limited with what he can do, and in his tactical planning. He knows one style of playing, which is to play with 10 out-field attacking players, and to overrun the opposition. But, in order to achieve that he needs players who understand one another implicitly, and who work hard together as a team, and who all have great technical ability on the ball. He doesn't have that at City, and it's going to be a test of his abilities to show that he can coach it into his players, since there will be only so much he will be able to buy in.
4 European Cups between them. They're up there with the best of all time. Both are struggling in their first seasons in Manchester but they're undoubtedly quality. They've proven that.
