Cech Bellerin - Kos - Gabriel(?) - monreal - carzola - xhaka - Ox (please get an end product) - özil - Alexis Giroud(?) Winning the PL? Not a chance. But exchange Gabriel and Giroud then maybe. I'm sure ox position can be filled by Iwobi, walcott(?) or Ramsey. Not wilshere.
Better than Kane! But just about make the bench..., U wanna swap players? We kinda need our old Arsenal player back
----------------Cech---------------- Bellerin--Mert---Kos---Monreal ---------Xhaka---Cazorla-------- ----Ramsey---Özil---Alexis---- ------------Welbeck-------------- As it stands only. I'd want an upgrade on Mertesacker, Ramsey and Welbeck. I like all three players I should add but think both Mert/Welbz can be upgraded and Aaron isn't at his best there.
It's a shame as Ramsey was awesome for Wales in the Euros, but he was given positional freedom to play as a roaming playmaker almost who also tackled. There's no way we can give him that level of positional freedom because we have Ozil currently doing that (he crops up on the left wing, in the centre, on the right, drops deep to pick up the ball, interchanges with Sanchez, makes runs into the box ect), so we need Ramsey to either stick on the RW and cut in or stay in CM and stay back and work with Coq/Xhaka to protect the back four. Which then stilts Ramsey's play. I'd still play him over Theo or Oxo based on last season, but I do hope Campbell gets more of a chance to stake a claim. It would be great to get someone like Mahrez - someone with pace who offers a goal threat and an end result. As everyone else has said we critically need a CB and a striker.
Oxo wouldn't make it anywhere near my starting 11. Theo, Wellbeck, Campbell and Iwobi are ALL ahead of him IMO -------------------------Cech------------------------- Bellerin---Mertesacker-Koscielny---Monreal ---------------Xhaka-------Carzorla--------------- ---Iwobi---------------Ozil------------Sanchez-- ------------------------Giroud------------------------
Arsene Wenger has revealed that midfielder Santi Cazorla will miss Arsenal’s opening match with Liverpool. This adds to the north Londoners’ mounting issues at the start of the campaign, with Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey, and Mesut Ozil all likely to miss the first game after being involved in international tournaments. ‘At the moment he is not completely there on the fitness front. That’s why I took him off at half-time,’ Wenger said of Cazorla. Why don't other teams seem to have this resting problem after major tournaments? One might be tempted to think we were doing things the right way by giving our players proper breaks for improved fitness, but this is shot down in laughable flames when you realise we are probably the worst club for fitness and injuries in world football.
Is he taking the piss? there are many other players who were in the same competitions as those players and have already played 1 or 2 pre-season games. There are still 2 weeks to go before kick-off, all players should be ready by then unless injured.
I'm concerned about us going into a massive game against Liverpool with so many of our key players out. Why do those international players need such a long rest ?
Frankly preposterous that we are going into the first game of the season against tough opposition resting some of our players. They've had the entire frigging summer to recuperate.
Good job Spain got knocked in round of 16. If they'd got to the final you wouldn't have seen Cazorla till October
