No, we got him from the Belgian league, sold him to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliega and city bought him from the Bundesliega.

He was top quality before landing in Germany.

You dont get quality from Germany. Quality sucked in by Bayern.

    Same goes for Juve.

Bottomline if we buy Sandro for more than 32m pounds he will struggle miserably.

But if we buy him for less than 32m he will be a success?

just disappointed none of the fellow Blues could see my objective arguments.
City & Manu can make 50M or 90M pound blunders, we cannot!!

For the right price anyone will be a success.

Never in million years we can buy any of those players in their prime.
for wrong price, even Messi will be a failure.

Same goes for Lukaku, he is valued at 75M pounds + Raiola fees(god knows how many zillions).

I love the kid, but will never want him for anything more than 60M pounds all in.

anything more he will become another Nando from Merseyside!!

Thats because, with all due respect, you talk a load of twaddle most of the time.
"For the right price anyone will be a success"?
    What does that even mean?
You are asserting that the fee paid for a player has a direct correlation with how successful they are on the pitch? And that the lower the fee the better the player?
    Because that's batshit mental.

Twaddle? try 'Common sense' may be?
Why do you think players like Nando & Pogba failed / fail miserably?
    Avarice.

Had they moved for the right price - they would have had lesser pressure and lesser expectation.

    Not rocket science!!

I think a high fee can put more pressure on a player but your comment is a vast over simplification.

Torres wouldn't have been any better had he cost 40 million instead of 50.

But the opposite can also be true. Ronaldo seemed to thrive being the worlds most expensive player.

Ronaldo was way under priced. Nando, Bale were way over priced. Price does impact. It is simple.

Stan, Torres didn't fail miserably because of his price tag. He failed because Liverpool destroyed his knee and rushed him back too soon to play. He then never had the confidence in himself to play at full tilt unless he hurt his knee again.

I'm sure we got Schurle from the German league, didn't we? He was too class. He gave the assist for the winning goal in the World Cup. Doesn't come much bigger than that.

As a question, where do the top players come from as according to you, all the other leagues in the world are pants?

On hindsight, Ronaldo looks good value but you can only look at what was being spent at the time etc.

Don't get too bogged down in the figures. Not our money and it all just gets moved around the big clubs anyway. We got 60 million for Oscar ffs!

There is no doubt about the failure of Nando ;) As for Pogba, I would say that although he did not meet the high expectation put on him he did contribute significantly to getting the team win 2 trophies and get the CL in the process. So fail miserably is a touch overegging it...<whistle>

Nando won us the real cup unlike Pogba's Mickey mouse cups <doh>

Still Nando was a failure. Now Pogba massive failure

La Marca are saying we have secured the services of Danillo from Madrid. Looks like we are going big on strengthening this year. I hope we manage to get bakayoko and a top striker too.

If we do get Danilo, i wonder where that leaves moses? Surely we wouldn't buy danilo just to have him benched.

Moses did very well last year but surely was never going to be a long term option for a club with C.L aspirations??

I'm not convinced danilo is the answer. I think moses has a lot more to give but i guess we can do what Juve do and rotate the Wingbacks as they get knackered

Don't know too much about Danillo to be honest. Just not surprised we are making sure we have 2 for that position - presuming of course that Dave is staying in the back 3. Pedro is certainly not the answer as wing back cover.
