As part of the Good Friday Agreement, Alex Bruce (and other players from the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland) can now play for Northern Ireland. He has only played friendlies for ROI and this means he can still play for the Northern Irish team. In recent years it has been almost totally the other way round, so it's nice to see the occassional move the other way. Born in Norwich, both parents are English, his grandmother was Irish.
