I've just read this wonderful article in one of today's papers and it just brought a wee tear to my eyes! A Six year old lad wrote a job application to become Aston Villa's new manager but was pipped to the post by Tim Sherwood. He wrote back to the young lad explaining why he didn't get the job but the club are keeping his details on file! This letter has meant the world to this young fan. It just goes to prove that Football isn't all bad. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-who-applied-for-managerial-job-10173894.html
I quite like Sherwood - he can be a bit OTT at times but at least he's got a bit of character. In his first Sky pre match press conference he mentioned he had met with Randy Lerner and was asked what they spoke about. "He picked the team for me" came the response!
Well I love that Warky.....lifts the spirits in this oh so cynical world. Totally made one young fella's life....a lesson for us all!
I heard he also applied for the Nowich job a few months back................but was toO experienced and articulate.
Just as well we didn't need it in the end! Top 6 is now yours to throw away - well done on tonight and getting the break with Wolves and Brentford losing
nah mate, credit where credit is due! mind you if it was the old tool I might not have been so charitable!
Is it going to be blue v yellow/green in the semi's? I'd like to avoid it but don't think we'll catch Derby.
