So some smart arse wants to mess around with the game again and look at the option of two halves of 30 mins with the clock being stopped anytime that the ball is out of play. This game has been going for nearly 150 years, WHY would anyone want to mess with it so fundamentally If you could tweak anything...what would it be? For me, sin bins for minor indiscretions ....and maybe have the timekeeping kept away from the referee..
Salary cap for me, it's just got a little bit stupid. Club and fans should have more power than they currently do.
Leave it at 45 mins each way and get rid of Sky. Go back to when, like the ref, we all seen it once in real time and that was it. Not the 4376 effing camera angles and these effing nonce footy experts telling us what should have happened and what people should have done. Rant over.
Long trip midweek matches for me. Should only be played if the journey is no longer than a couple if hours. Wage cap and transfer cap too! It's got way out of hand and is crippling most clubs!
Hopefully with the transfer fees and wages at the moment and getting stupider by the day it will go bust and return to normal in the not to distant future.
The clock carries on when they are showing replays though that doesn't slow the game down. It's a ridiculous idea though they should **** off. I'd like keeping the ball in the corner to be gone but then I'm not sure how they'd regulate it cos the balls in play.
Without trying to dominate the board. I'm against it. I'm all for the game being tweaked but see no need to make massive changes like this.
