Not one headed goal ! that is shocking, why is that. Just been on a site with all statistics. No Stephen fletcher/Connor whickham now, and where is Borini for corners, free kicks etc. Terrible record that is. And more to the point WHO did score our last headed goal ?. We can leave Jemaine out of this for his 14 goals.
If we'd scored more goals, as in the headed ones that I bet every other side gets, then we'd have more points. Always good to score more goals.
I was wrong anyway lol it was kone against man United. If we had khazri taking our dead balls I would say we would of scored more headed goals.
Of course it is! But do we score fewer headed goals because we create fewer chances to score headed goals? We probably should be scoring more from set pieces but there's no point flinging crosses in and expecting Defoe to out jump 6'3" centre backs.
This'll cheer you up Monty: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...verton-consider-jordan-pickford-move-12675248
To score headed goals we need to be in their penalty area more often - not sure if our manager knows how to manage this as we create so little and rarely pressurise the opposition keeper But may change this weekend and we win on the box -
I know what you're saying but my viewpoint is that we'd have more goals in addition to what Defoe gets, we're obviously not making the most of set pieces. We're probably lacking Khazri for that, Januzaj's gentle floaters don't yield much and Larsson isn't as good as he used to be either. Our squad as a whole is too small and weak in my opinion which doesn't help.
We are not going to hoof balls into the middle for Defoe and yes, we are missing Khazri dead balls as they were superb at the end of last season. Saying that I don't give a **** how we score goals, they can all come off Danny Graham's arse for all I care.
Possibly... Guardiola will have egg on his face if that happens, £18m flushed on possibly the worst keeper the PL has ever seen. If De Gea goes (probably will if we don't qualify for the CL) then I'd imagine he'd be on our radar too, along with a few on the continent. You're probably right, bigger sides will show an interest, but Everton seem to be building something too.
Surely the ball would be flagged out of play before it hits Danny Graham's are seeing as he's now at Blackburn
It's possible Koeman would let Barkley go I'm not sure how much he rates him. He'd probably rather chop his leg off than come here though unless he's got a soft spot for Moysey.
I doubt even Moyes' own family have any soft spots for him. They probably sit at home all day, next to the phone, just waiting for a phone call to say he's bored himself to death.
When you look at how many dead ball kicks actually fail to either beat the wall or the first man from a corner and add to that the few times our outside players actually beat the defence on the outside to get in a cross, one realises why we don't score from headers.
