Important win for Ferrari because I think Merc will annihilate them on the European power circuits coming up.(Spa/Monza) and of course they will be tough to beat in USA & Mexico). I suspect Ferrari need to be on their A game in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan before we get to Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

In other thoughts....Really need Honda to create about 90 additional horsepower <laugh> (Plus 50HP from Renault would be nice).

"We took the risk. It is important to stick by your word. Maybe someone will one day said, Budapest is when we lost the championship. Who knows.

"At the moment this is the way we want to continue. Valtteri moved over because we asked him to move over and then Lewis moved over at the end. Fair play to both of them."

I'm not sure what the fuss is about with Hamilton giving the spot back. He asked for a shot and gave the position back. Bit risky where he did it, but if he hadn't then Bottas wouldn't give up a position ever again.

I'm taken back that Hamilton stuck to his word. He certainly wouldn't have done that for nico. But.... I don't think he should of. Bottas was not on the pace and didn't deserve that podium today.

I'm still a bit confused about what happened to Bottas in that race, how did he end up dropping so far off the limping Ferrari's?

Not really a classic GP, but certainly better that it had any right to be.

And I can't believe I'm saying this, but good sportsmanship from Hamilton. Didn't expect him to give the place back.

    Yeah so....

    1. Passing was impossible here with these cars.

    2. Hamilton, frankly he gave it a go and could get by so giving place was still considered significant by me in the first place that bottas step over but then he was way off pace. Giving it back was an A1 manly thing to do <applause>

    3. Vettel steering was bloodynodd, I can't recall seeing that ever.

    4. Ricciardo radiator was also quite unusual, how verstappen didn't damage his own car is beyond me.

    5. I think Perez did icon at start, ain't payback a bitch...

    6. Alonso best of "rest" is amazing for team.

    7. Raikkonen never stopped moaning, even for him... ridiculous really. You are 2nd driver and stop whining. You are clear no 2 driver as well so.... pull over when told and shut up. Reslity check kimi, you were told you were out if you didnt buck up and suddenly you are MUCH improved. Wtf have you been at before

I wonder if there were more team ordered overtakes than genuine overtakes today.

what doesnt make sense to me is why did they enforce #2 orders on Bottas earlier in the season and also Hamilton ordering Bottas to slow or move over to have a change of heart here? seems a bit of mind games to make Vettel if he wins the championship seem illegitimate?

With Toto's comments after the race, it did seem like a veiled dig at Ferrari.

I know it's 99.9% not going to happen , But it would be ironic IMHO , If Bottas was WDC by 3 points or less .
