He we are, my pictures from yesterday. Have a butchers. http://humaneyestudio.zenfolio.com/p420645270
No, I didn't want to intrude really as everyone was working. There were a few lucky punters in the paddock but most people were drivers, team members or press. Some people were having selfies etc taken with fans, but having got the passes on a bit of blag I didn't feel confident in collaring people. They guy who got us the passes was saying that until Liberty took over there's no way we would have got the passes or been allowed to take pictures so I didn't want to push things! I did crowd in just behind the press and TV for the interviews and kept expecting to get told to stop but no-one did. Some people did look more approachable than others though, DC in particular would have been fine I'm sure but I'm not super confident at the best of times so I just stuck to photographing.
Fair comment . Glad you had a memorable day , and one that I doubt you will ever forget . Thank you liberty Media
Very much so! If we'd got there 15 minutes earlier the pitlane was open but I'm trying not to think about missed opportunity!
Just one last comment . I was at the Indy time trials several years ago with a cousin who lives in the USA , I could not believe the access to the teams / mechanics , drivers , cars etc . If Liberty media start to bring that in , then fair play to them .
They understand why access is important, and they understand that social media is not the enemy but the best publicity they could get. There was an experimental set up in one of the grandstands yesterday with free wifi. So you can combine the race with following it online, commenting, posting it all up. A huge change all round. That said the normal cost of an F1 ticket at Silverstone with paddock access is normally £600-£800 a day!
everything looks to be in hamiltons favour here. vettel will prob get second as well so damage limitation there but hamilton is surely a shoe in unless something odd happens.
i think if it rains it's got to rain bang at the wrong time as hamilton is by far the better man at managing it. if say quali was dry then wet you might get caught but hamilton will deliver imo. Car breaking or an odd start or something imo is thats going to prevent hamilton winning. I think he will run away with it and for the first time we will see the pair on the podium and i can't wait to see if hamilton pulls a stunt from the top of the podium...
