Force India bringing a big update to this race, hopefully more successful than Williams failed big update in Austria!
They really could cement 4th place if it all works, maybe get after Red Bull if Verstappen keeps not finishing races :p

Slightly tangential, but it's disappointing not to see Lewis at the F1 Live London event today. They've got the entire rest of the grid along with Button and Rosberg, but the British triple world champion apparently can't be arsed.

Edit: Few boos from the crowd when Lewis's name was mentioned. Clearly endearing himself to the public...

I think it is cos it is after all his home fans he is letting down.

he's just grumpy cos he ended up points down on vettel when he hoped vettel would be disqualified.

I see Mr wolf has claimed Hamilton deserved a lot better in last two gp

I agree Mercedes ****ed him over on head protection (basic clusterfuck) and the tyre strategy last weekend didn't help one bit in race.

Imo anyone can have a gear box issue but 8th wasn't great right off but to compound it was poor.

Hamilton proved with a decent start gaining 2 place and late charge that he could have made podium there. The way vettel closed on bottles I don't know that any tactic would have got 2nd.

All in all... make your own luck

Reading you daily post tells me Lewis Hamilton is really your favourite on the grid. I knew you would have been disappointed not seeing him at the F1 show in London...but these things happen...we get a little disappointment once in a while! Thats life!

Seems a huge PR blunder for Hamilton. I wonder if he will mention how thankful he is for the fans this weekend.

I like when he is good and goes and does things most simply cannot But... he freaking annoys me when he stops like a baby :).

He just does but then a lot of footballers do the same.

Ricciardo for me has no such drama

You only need one look at that chart to see that vettel will take a penalty and level out last weekend's result.

I've voted for Vettel for this GP, my heart won. Come on Vettel, show up this little baby in his back yard.

Now he's begging for love on the back of his super patriotism, a day after he couldn't be bothered to turn up to a fan day in the capital of said beloved country.

maybe he has a cliche' bot that does all his social media

Hamilton's not popular after not turning up in London yesterday, but all things being equal you would expect that he has got this. Car looks very good, his home race and he has several reasons for being highly motivated. I don't think Vettel will make it easy though.

That'll be Grosjean dragged over the coals, publicly flogged before being hung, drawn and quartered, then ground in to dust and sprinkled over a unicorn Frappuccino.

But wouldn't you say it is better to be honest about the way you feel? You cant be down and pretending to be all happy and contented. Hamilton is there to win races and if the team lets him down he has a right to be a bit pissed off. The headrest thing was a mistake by the team, but one that a professional team shouldn't make. So he is a bit down, but that is what makes champions. Losing is not what they set their minds to go out every day and do, so when they have everything going and are miles ahead in a race where point are important to close a gap..then a headrest comes loose.. i would be pissed. But these things happen and he will come back stronger as he usually does. I guess he needed the couple days to get his mind back to where he needs to be.

If you don't react you are fake and if you do react you are a baby. He gets criticised either way.

It seems that some sort of pass is coming my way for Silverstone tomorrow. It may involve paddock access. This is as much as I know at the moment. Hooray!
