Was busy sporting today so will catch up later. Looks like a dominant win but with a fair bit of drama. Worth a watch hopefully

Getting a bit frustrated at the fact that we're not really getting the champion fight on track, and the races are ticking down fast.

I'm just really underwhelmed. With everything. How it looks on TV, how it sounds on TV, how the testing is limited.

Seems like the same teams in the same order with the same kind of pace deficit to the midfield all the time.

We need RBRs Hungary upgrade to be good if we want some interesting fights.

Merc pace this weekend frightening. Had an engine upgrade. Didn't see their customers flying around Silverstone though.

Just cannot believe for one second that there is parity.

    Am I the only one?

Problem is, I believe, regs don't stipulate the software modes and maps have to be same on customer PU!!!!!!! So manufacturer teams have massive advantage. Not only do PU and chassis development teams work together from start they also design PU for specific fuel that will probably not be available to customer teams!!!
So there is no parity... That is why McL have Honda as Ron realised that no chance of non manufacturer team winning (Red Bull were Renaults manufacturer team). Just a real pity that Honda cant make a PU that is good enough.

Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but if anything I've been reinvigorated by F1 this season.

For sure we've not seen fireworks every race between Hamilton and Vettel - but we had quite the controversy in Baku! There's been good moments in plenty of races.

Off track, it does seem like Liberty are moving in the right direction. There's proper thought going into the next regulations, budget controls are being mooted, and more is being done for the fans. The importance of the tracks is being recognised more too.

In terms of Mercedes, I think the recent tracks have played to their strengths, and starting in Hungary Ferrari will be closer.

Engine hardware probably is equal, but not each team are on the same engine number. Mercedes can time the upgrades to be exactly when they need to take a new engine, whilst the other teams may be out of sequence with that. That exacerbates the other differences highlighted.

There may not be a battle for the lead each race, but when has there ever been?

What we are seeing is a much more competitive top order. Look at Seb/Max, Seb/Bot today. Some good scraps, elbows out driving etc.

I disagree with the anti-Max sentiment that has come out again today. Vettel shoved him off at Stowe, then got all pissy when Max repaid the compliment at Club. Both whinged at each other, but they are F1 drivers!

I thought it was a great scrap.

It's been good but just lately Danny ricciardo has been making the show. The two big boys have not been duelking ahem wheel to wheel enough..

I'd like to see it get a bit closer. Imo since Merc brought their upgrade they have been on top.

    Shout out to Hulk.

Did well to finish ahead of the Force India's when he was expected to drop back a bit after quali.

Max is a weaver, as he proved again once again today. This weekend we have seen the 2 media darlings get let-off by the stewards for transgressions they have penalised other people for, even going as far to admit that Hamilton suddenly going onto Grosjean's line did affect Grosjean in qualifying, but then bottling the decision, that's a ****ing joke imo. Haas are spot on, penalties are given not by what you've done, but by who you are.

Mercedes have been majorly dominant since Barcelona they just havnt capitalised on it which has kept Vettel in the chase. But unless Ferrari bring something big soon it's game over.

For me it's made it even more frustrating, as after 3 years of nothing but Mercedes we've finialy seen someone almost challenge them. And there have been signs that we are almost going to get a great battle.... But nothing ever happens, and we are so close to have a ding-dong battle, which I think we all want so badly.

I'm still hopeful that we will get one, but the signs at the moment is that Mercedes have out developed Ferrari, which to be fair, has been Ferrari's weakness for a while now.

You do get that feeling. Mercedes do seem to like tripping over themselves though, so we may still may get a close call.

Currently in a hotel and have the pleasure of Sky Sports F1 in the room.

    Where was Brundle this weekend?

Actually, F1 on the big screen, Indy on the tablet. Could be worse ways to spend an evening!
