They're suggesting that he's worried about his place in the team, because Trippier started a few games! Elsewhere, the German press have suggested that Bayern Munich want him to replace Lahm. It's nice to see that there's a coherent vision of Walker's ability, isn't it? The fee that Bavaria Munchen are supposed to be willing to pay? €18m!
They really feel the EU leave malarky will strengthen the Euro against GBP such that 18m will get Walker ?? If so I suggest they get in touch with Joe Lewis, not Levy.
A month or so ago it was Trippier leaving as he wasn't getting regular starts, now it's Walker leaving because...Trippier's had a few starts? Isn't it funny how there hasn't been a single story about Vorm leaving because Lloris gets so many more starts than he does? It's almost as if the hacks realise just how stupid they'd look if they published it.
Wouldn't the Narrative (TM) be that Vorm has no ambition, and is therefore happy that his game time can be quite limited ??
According to today's papers we are going to struggle to put a team out next season. Everyone's leaving apart from Sissoko. Oh well, who can we buy from Southampton?
What's really funny is the juxtaposition on the BBC Gossip page: City are ready to make a world record bid for Alli...but the next headline says they're not bidding for Mbappe as Monaco have put an £110m pricetag on him. They've never had any dealings with Levy, have they?
No, lads! This is just a case of things getting lost in translation. The 18m Euros is a reference to the agent's fee.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants to sign Tottenham and England midfielder Dele Alli, 21, for a world record fee this summer - according to Barcelona legend Xavi. (Sun) City have been put off in their attempts to bring in Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe after the Ligue 1 club valued the 18-year-old at £110m. (Times - subscription required) What's the betting that Levy wants £120m for Alli?
Looks like we can rule out a summer move for Isco, as Marca are reporting he's agreed a contract to stay on Los Ladrones' bench until 2022 while trousering €98,000 for the privilege. Man City are heard to be livid...that thanks to the pound doing so **** against the Euro since last June, they can no longer appeal to the higher class of mercenary that they were able to do so a few years ago.
That's a shame if it's true. We can just about afford those those wages. What on earth were we thinking spunking £30mill on Sissoko? How can we spend £30mill so badly
http://www.espnfc.com/soccer-transf...nt-guarantee-dele-alli-will-stay-at-tottenham "After three years you can see how the team is improving every year and all our decisions so far have been good." Not all, Poch. Not all. For example, 1 mousa was an excellent decision. The other, not so much.
It's only because we didn't think of some hashtag to distract from what a woeful piece of business it was, unlike... please log in to view this image
Do the media really expect us to sell Dele, Walker, Rose, Toby, Kane and Lloris this summer? Seriously? Do they honestly not get embarrassed reporting this dross? Do none of them wonder why we would sell one of our key players (let alone SIX) when they are all on long term contracts? Do none of them realise that we aint sold a single player unless they have either refused a new contract and they are into the last 2 years of the current one (not the case with our squad) or unless the player is demanding a move (again not the case) since Enic took over? And when they write that City and United want our players do they realise that we aint sold any players we want to an English club for NINE years?
I love the jealousy in the media towards us. The media hacks could decide to laud Spurs, but instead they try to dismantle us. It will would absolutely kick them if we won the title!
