Presumably they get a percentage of any sale proceeds up to the 5 years. Would make sense for them. I guess there is a minimum sale price in the deal?
Calcio Mercato are reporting that Inter will only spend if they sell first, with both Marcelo Brozovic and Ever Banega linked with moves away. So with us consistently being linked with Brozovic, while Inter have been linked with a move for Sissoko, I can see a deal that benefits both parties here...
Today's rumour would appear to be MP to Barcelona. There is alleged to have been a 'secret meeting' in a restaurant in Barcelona by Barcelona based publication 'Sport'. Hmmm, a secret meeting in a public place? Sounds a bit stupid? Also, when MP met Fergie, he did so with Levy's permission. I doubt MP would be having secret meetings with anyone from a rival club. Interestingly, the British papers haven't gone for it as yet. I reckon it's complete hot air. We shall see.
The Times are reporting that Lamela may (or may not) play for the club this year (or ever again) as his hip injury may (or may not) require surgery, and with Lamela stalling on whether he should have this surgery (if he needs to) the club are losing patience with him (or not) as he enters the final twelve months of his contract ...yes, that is actually their story. Worth every penny to get behind that paywall!
'Spurs insist that there is no need to worry' http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mauricio-pochettino-meets-barcelona-president-10093191 Looks like Levy has sanctioned the signings of Messi and Neymar then. Perhaps Sissoko will go the other way.
Guillem Ballugue was on the radio this morning. He said MP was having a break in Barcelona. He went out for dinner with friends. Separately, the Barcelona bloke was in the same restaurant. Their children went to the same school, they are friends. They greeted each other and that was that. The whole thing lasted less than a couple of minutes. It took place in the public area of a restaurant. Most of Fleet Street have treated this with disdain which shows it must be very unlikely to be true. In an international week where stories are so scarce that Sissoko and Janssen are big news, this wasn't. It says it all really.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino met Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu this week. The Spanish champions are seeking a new boss, with Luis Enrique leaving in the summer. (Daily Mirror) Yawn.
Today's scoop is from The Sunday Mirror. Apparently, Citeh are confident of landing Danny Rose for £50m this summer. We don't need the money but will take it anyway because.......well, the story gets a bit thin there. Apparently United will sell us Luke Shaw for a lot less, which may or may not be true and we will be happy with this because the story needs us to. No other paper has anything remotely resembling this which means.........that someone has made it up........again
Wasn't there a story a could of months ago that had both manchester clubs confident of signing Rose AND Walker fof a total of £60m? Bloody inflation
Marcus Rashford to Tottenham? Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, a player already widely tipped to spearhead England's attack in the future, is reportedly a potential summer target for Tottenham Hotspur. According to The Times, Spurs have been 'monitoring' Rashford's current situation after the 19-year-old's lack of playing time in his preferred centre forward role this season, leading to concerns about his England place. Dier has featured in 20 games in all competitions since the campaign began, but more than half of those have been as a stand-in winger during Zlatan Ibrahimovic's sponsor-enforced residence up front. Rashford generally impressed in a poor England side at Euro 2016 and was one of the stars as United mounted a successful League Cup challenge this season. And, were Tottenham to make a genuine approach, playing in London would not be alien to him.
Dier??? Is that a Freudian slip or are they just mixing up their stories with random names. Couldn't be any less accurate
