Not to Chelsea. £70m still isn't enough to know we have to live with a fierce rival strengthening at our expense.

If Utd offer £70m then I'd take it. Although I'd prefer cash plus Shaw.

I would have a real vicious "disrepute" clause in his contract.
Any antics like that, and you're suspended without pay for a
    reasonable number of weeks.

We already have £70m+ in the coffers from selling Walker, Fazio, N'Jie, Bentaleb and Caroll, and that's before taking into account we weren't paying the full wages of half of the players on that list last season.

    Yeah definitely, makes sense.

Top player though, great signing from a footballing perspective if we pull it off.

Which means there would hypothetically be close
to 150m available for what I stated.

Would you trust Pochettino not to do a post Bale 2.0
    with all that money ??

  6. We could then conceivably afford an 'Isco' <diva>

    Yep.
Their vermin aspect is difficult to overcome, whatever the money.

Here lies the shattered remains of Spur of the Moment.
A man too silly to realise that speaking Isco was certain death.

    RIP :(

Not sure I'd want a player who is not only content to sit on Los Ladrones' bench for several years, but make damn sure he stays there by signing a contract with a £640m release clause in it.

Well, I forgot the link, but I saw a story indicating there's little reason to have either hopes or fears for Aurier. It seems if he can't overturn his conviction for assaulting a police officer he can't go to England. If he can, and the transfer window is still open, he's likely to go for more than whatever the price is people are quoting. The personal terms agreements that have been reported may be part of a legal strategy: if you overturn the conviction, you'll get this guy out of France. That last sentence is my own speculation, but the others were taken as well as I can remember from what seemed a trustworthy story.

I wouldn't sell to Chelsea at any price below £100million. Direct rivals and genuine hatred between us and them.

We should NEVER sell anything to them ... EVER imho.
    And yes that includes Sissoko!

No ifs, no buts. There's no way I would sell the Chelsea at any price. I dispise that club and tens of millions of their dirty money won't make them prising Rose away from us any easier to accept. It would make it worse as we sold our souls.

A £70m rated proven top level PL full back is a way better option than £70m in the bank and a gamble on players that could turn out to be ****e.
