Watching Barca over the last few years, its staggering how much Suarez is a shadow of the player he once was. Yes he has still scored a crap load and gets lots of assists, but he doesn't play the same way and barely has the influence he once had. He used to run endlessly, now he looks lazy

    Forgot this was on.

Asensio scored again then. Makes you wonder why they want Mbappe when they have this guy

Think it's due to Barca's passing game, our tactics were less intricate under Rodgers, looking at Barca now they're a shadow of their former selves and it's not just down to Neymar leaving.

You look at Barca at their best and how many of them came through youth ranks and had played together for 7/8 years before getting in the first team?

Puyol, Piqie, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi. A spine that knew each other inside out.

They have some wuality players but the youh players come through arent wuite to the same standard. They really do miss that link up in the middle that iniesta provides, which is why they want Coutinho so badly.

Barca were shown their arse by Real over the two legs, think in the aftermath they'll deffo heighten their pursuit of players.
It's down to FSG to knock them back because if $$$$'s are more important than the club's future Couthinho will be off very soon.

It's not that simple though, is it? Coutinho has said he can't work with Klopp, and the feeling may well be mutual now.

Well, he hasn't denied it has he? If somebody claimed you'd said that wouldn't you want to clear it up? Unless he does it's poison.

Maybe he's done it privately to klopp? I'm sure if he'd said he didn't wanna work with klopp they'd be selling him, saw what's happened to sakho. Klopp takes no prisoner it seems.

I honestly see your point saint, but even though (dishonestly to get his way in my opinion) Couthinho reckons he doesn't like or get along with Klopp it wouldn't be the first time a manager and player never got along, but for the good of the club they've buried their differences.
Klopp will be fully aware and in constant communication with Couthinho and let's be honest, once the transfer deadline passes Couthinho is in **** street, it's WC year and he needs games and fitness. is he gonna sulk in the reserves or try and impress his national manager?
I'd go for the latter, also Klopp will obviously understand Couthinho's tactics and won't take things personally, he's already stated how much the team misses the player and that he doesn't want him to leave.

Exactly. This is why I suspect Klopp has said it's up to FSG now. If they can't work together then it ceases to be a footballing decision and becomes a purely financial one.

I honestly don't know what to believe, with all the claims and counter-claims, but I do think that Klopp takes no **** from anyone (Sakho is the obvious example) so if he thinks Coutinho has crossed a line then it wouldn't surprise me if there were no going back.
As I say, I don't know what's going on - but nothing would surprise me now.

Confidence is soaring among Everton fans - do you agree?

Klaassen is a great signing from Ajax at a great price. Koeman is a great manager and Everton could pip Liverpool and Arsenal for 5th or 6th. With Chelsea and Tottenham not looking as strong, they could challenge for 3rd, behind the Manchester clubs.
