Agreed. Too early to be making us second favourites. We shouldn't be anywhere near favourites imo. Still a very long way to go, especially with us losing Mane for a month soon
Manchester City 9/4 Pool 11/4 Chelsea 3/1 Arsenal 13/2 Tottenham 21/1 Manchester Utd 25/1 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/winner[/QUOTE] It's a tight race reflected by the market. Spurs price is generous imo, Not sure the'll win it but 21/1 when unbeaten, likely going out of Europe and Kane back seems overly long. I got on Pool and Arse at 27/2 and 23/2 at start of season, so happy so far
Odds are just odds. not liking them just shows insecurity people have put money down on us after seeing what we've done. those odds should not affect LFC. if the media tries to use it to affect us and we let it then its our fault
I keep saying this. Odds merely reflect where the money's going. They don't gauge probability because no-one can see the future. The only possible influence they could have would be if, like you say, they had some psychological effect on players, and surely that would be minimal. Some people seem to think that bookmakers have a supernatural understanding of the future.
Its a tool for some. journos to keep asking time after time til a manager reacts. Or for other teams to say we have nothing to lose all the prssure is on the other lot etc etc. Just ignore it all imo.
