2016/17 Season Progress

I thank you. Sometimes I even try, rarely I'd admit.

 

Its interesting that in block 6 we managed to take 2 points out of 12 with two draws yet score more than the last 4 games where we took 7 out of 12.

It really does show that solid defence (not in terms of necessarily sitting back and being negative) will make a big difference to us.

I think v swansea we really just were poor in the air. many of our issues have been just not killing moves early on the counter or silly gambling erros like the palace goal.. OR failing to clear second ball.

More calmness, more ability aerially and just a touch less bravado from the back line in position would go a hell of a long way IMO.

Buy a lucas who can run for instance.... he's sat between the two CBs when in possession and in general we've been ok when the shape is right. A bit more height in the box on set piece would help also....

Milner and cylne poistions need looking at for boht, just a bit more positivity but positionally also.
