As there's no difference at all between a young England PL international lauded by people in the game and the subject of bids from the 2 oil clubs in the PL, to some donkey signed off you tube clips by a manager who had a long history of buying ****e is there?

Man Utd boast about being the "first sports club in England to appoint a full-time counter-terrorism manager"

They're the only club who have to call off games because they plant bombs their own stadium too <doh>

In principal its a good idea for other clubs to follow suit on the issue.
The article states that "Vehicles are now routinely checked as they enter car parks, and supporters are searched at turnstiles." which is something that a lot of clubs already do.

Manchester United appoint full-time counter-terrorism manager

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38661302

Its a bit far fetched to expect UK anti-terrorist police and the government to liaise with a former police officer employed by a football club and give him information not released to the general public, its also not going to happen that armed club security police will be mingling with the fans in case a terrorist attack occurs, but all football grounds are vulnerable to terrorism not just in the ground itself or the carpark but in the surrounding roads/streets and pubs etc.
If there is any real benefit at Old Trafford with the appointment the FA should make it a right of every club to follow suit and hopefully protect their supporters and to foil any potential terrorist related attack.

    Well done Man Utd.<ok>

He'll know what terror is when he sees Wazza lumbering down the tunnel towards him.

If they actually search people it'd be a start eh?

look they seriously embarrassed themselves last season and this is a natural reaction. 76k people is indeed a natural target for any dim bulb fool who's been on the net and listening to ISIS lies so they have a responsibility to the people they charge to come into the ground to keep them safe.... of course may will deal with all of then yeah :emoticon-0112-wonde

Tbh mito you(me and others)discussed how easy it was last season to smuggle pyrotechnics into football grounds so its not rocket science to know explosives could have been smuggled instead.

Something needs doing and if the mancs get it right the rest should follow suit, our safety after all is supposedly the main thing our clubs cares for.

Quite an interesting look at keepers in league on sky sports.

Lots pf stats so if don't like that you won't like it and some is subjective as to what is classed as a 'diffficult shot' but compares how keepers saved shots (held first attempt, 2nd, partied safely etc) and how difficult shot was to save.

Mig is up there when it comes to how e save dshots with holding many, better than Karius but when take into account difficulty Karius comes out Better on basis he's actually faced harder shots than Mig to save this season. Both sit mid table in terms of top 6 though

Man Utd taking a £10m loss on Depay

Not all clubs can be mugs like Everton and cover all your losses
