    Mazzari phoned Behrami and told him that he was integral to his plans. I read it in an interview with the Swiss captain at the end of last season.

    We have been linked to about 3/4 different midfielders and with 5/6 already at the club you do wonder if its just agents talking...

    Last thing we want is players coming and then sitting around doing nothing because they usually end up being disruptive.

    You could add that he played extremely well as central defender for Switzerland during the Euros, and is too valuable to lose..

    This is good, yeah. OK, so it's:
    "Well, given his history with Mazzari, and of course his rise in value from his performances in the Euro group stages, he's probably worth the nod." I do have the drop on him in terms of football idiom so 'the nod' is a good one, too.

    Does that mean 3 more to go IF we sign no new players that are foreign and over 21...
