If you think they've been offered £40m up front, then you need to give your head a wobble

Lukaku was not as valuable to you as Siggy is to Swansea though, he was a big reason Swansea stayed up last year, which is worth more than £50m in the scheme of things.

Swans will probably stick to their guns about their price, especially seeming we both seem interested, eventually 1 of us will cave and offer a deal that is worth £50m total.

Eh? He scored 25 league goals ffs <laugh>

The player has now told them he wants away, so their hand is significantly weaker than it was yesterday. There's always compromise in these deals, they put £50m on his head as they didn't want to sell, now they're forced to sell, or try and retain a pissed off player.

regardless of how you add it up, a bid totaling 40m has been rejected. "chatting bubbles"...."wobbling heads"..... think you need to lay down in a dark room, sunshine

A bid totalling £40m could be £25m plus difficult to attain add ons of £15m, I think you need to get out of the Sunshine, as it's obviously shrinking your old walnut.

Yeah, but your not going to get relegated without him. The most valuable players are the ones that keep you in the league.

Then again, you could be saying goodbye to all that sweet sweet CL money ...

You got £90M including add ons for him - Man Utd negotiated you down from £100M but you still got a ridiculously good deal.
Considering that Swansea reject two offers of £40M for a player that is on a long term contract I really doubt that they'll accept that - high mid to high 40s like Miami Fox stated seems to be what he'll go for.

    And what?

A bid of £25m plus £15m in tough add ons, is far less attractive than a bid of say £33m with £7m of easily attained add ons, and yet they both total £40m <doh>

We are talking about total values mate - give them a total value of mid to high 40s and that should do it.

You can give them £40M straight up and I doubt they will accept - is like what is happening with Mahrez with us as Arsenal are offering £35M with add ons and we are telling them to bugger off.

My wager is already down on our board, £35m plus about £8m in add ons.

They'll no doubt make him put a transfer request in, so he loses any loyalty bonuses (or agrees to forego them) and it'll be done in the next few days.

If Siggy goes for 45-50m (ridiculous) then we should stick another 10m on Mahrez.

Really? The published amount is £75m.

And I bet that isn't a lump sum either

Still only managed three less goals than a £50m player.

The price these one season wonders go for is crazy.

I think he is a Payet, a player that both clubs should have cashed in on after a great season.

Not surprising to see the word "lump" and "Rooney" in the same thread <laugh>

Is as Tobes said above - £75m plus £15m in easily attainable add ons.

£75m is most likely in installments but either way you are getting all of it.
£43M is about right - I bet that any loyalty bonus's will be added to the signing on fee though.
