9/10 from me. a great watch. superb action scenes throughout the film Black Panther was wonderful and I always enjoy watching the Black Widow in action. going to see it again.

just one thing though, Buckie in the winter soldier was a brilliant, terrifying, unbeatable super soldier. in this film he gets his arse handed to him in almost every fight.

The Big Short: Steve Carrell and Ryan Gosling are both superb.

13 hours: secret soldiers of Benghazi.

Michael Bay's take on the middle east. This is actually based on real.events. Unfortunately Bay does what Bay always does, lays it on thick.

It really isn't that bad a film If you can ignore the smaltz and, at times cringe worthy jingoism.

There is quite a bit of realistic action in this film to be fair. It is also pretty intense. The threat is palpable in places.

Decent viewing as long as you are watching it for free.

If Bay directed it I'll give it a miss.

Completely ****ed up movie with what must be the highest kill count in the history of film. Looks like a video game but it's so mental it's great.

    Cell.

Soon to be released flick based on the Stephen King book of the same name. Edward Norton and Samuel L Jackson star in a story that brings a new twist to the old Zombie Apocalypse genre.

A pulse is sent through the mobile phone network and anybody who happens to using their mobiles at the time turn into raging lunatics bent on slaughtering anybody who hasn't fell foul to the nasty signal.

Having read the book and enjoying it i was keen to see how the film makers would cope with such massive concepts. They dont do that good a job tbh. Pretty disappointing fare. Even Norton and Jackson are less than impressive. The whole film feels like everyone involved wasn't really that fussed about the outcome. Certainly not the worst film you'll ever see but one that can be slotted straight into the rather large folder titled King adaptation fails.

Disappointing to hear that about Norton. He's a class actor imo. There was a time when you saw his name in a film and knew the script would be top drawer.

Good shout on King adaptation. Far too many fails. I think the best I can remember (perhaps nostalgia) was a film called Cat's Eye.

Come now Treble. There have been some brilliant King adaptations. The green mile, Shawshank redemption, Stand by me, Carrie, The Shining all spring to mind. There have been real stinkers too though. Cujo, the tommyknockers, the Stand. This one sits right in the latter category imo but it's not the worst as i said.

Under the dome is another adaptation that i wasn't impressed by.

P.S. King collaborated on the screenplay for this film and tbf the script isn't that bad. The whole film just looks cheap. Badly shot i would say.

Major fail on my part. How could I forget those mentioned <doh> Never seen Carrie btw. Christine is another I like.

I just had image of Pet Semetary in my head when I was posting earlier! I often see King's film adaptations like Carpenter. Once was good now turned to rubbish.

    Eye in the sky

    Excellent stuff.

Helen Mirren and Alan Rickman excell in a tense thriller about the morality of drone strikes.

    The Road.

Disappointing 4/10. The whole post apocalyptic thing has been done before and better. Didnt see the point of making this at all.

Can't be bothered to explain why but there was real hints of TWD meets Road to Perdition.

    Hardcore Henry - 8/10

Brilliant piece of action cinema from a completely different perspective with basically every single possible death (ever conceived) occurring in the film at one point or another. Story line is totally **** and impossible to follow at first but the action and the unique perspective make for a highly entertaining film if action is your thing. Sharlto Copley is absolutely brilliant in it as well.
