Thursday evening is the 2nd leg of the Championship playoffs semi-final at Elland Road. Following on from Sunday’s 0-0 stalemate at Carrow Road, it’s time to work out, one way or another, who’s going to Wembley next Sunday. The neutrals will be hoping for a more open game than Sunday’s offering with just 13 shots registered in the entire match. For the stats lovers, the Carrow Road leg also had an xG of just 0.76; only four Championship fixtures have had fewer shots and a lower xG this season. The quality is there on both teams, but I’d expect another cagey affair, with so much on the line and both sides nursing poor form as well as body parts for key players… Leeds will be relieved to see Dan James back in action at Carrow Road though Bamford is still unlikely to be ready for Thursday. The main question for Norwich fans will be is Josh Sargent fit enough? If not, is Barnes fit enough to start? If not, does Sydney VH get a start?!?!?! I suspect Wagner would rather start Handley up front than play Van Hooijdonk for more than 10 mins. Leeds are the bookies tip to progress with home advantage and their recent dominance over Norwich in the league. The longer it remains 0-0 though, I wonder if Leeds will start to feel the pressure. We’ll find out soon enough. Fingers and toes crossed for a Norwich date at Wembley. Come on you Yellows! OTBC
I still think we have a good chance of winning tomorrow night . Defend properly score more goals than Leeds & it's Wembley
I hear you. I was worried that the thread opener sounded all too negative. That's the reality though. I'm banking on the team playing out of their skins and some moments of magic from Rowe, Sainz and Sara to push us over the line.
