Basic team spirit says thsts no acceptable and there is a reason why mo salah has never been in the senior player list.

When henderson and milner left vvd, Roberton, trent (who's only there due to being scouse)

In the past we put up with salah getting a strop on over being subbed (see thumb stripping antics at cheslea and the crowd cheering and him playing to it), not being captain, being really selfish if he's not scored yet we needed a pass to get a goal to win a game.

We put up with it for 20 leavie goals and 10 assists a season. We won't put up with it for half thst as his legs go.

If we can get a decent fee from Saudi he should be told he is going not asked.

Eight being penalties that someone else could have scored just as easily

Salah is on the senior player list along with Alisson who you also missed off.

Salah needs to take a lead out of Roy Kent’s book on his to handle being named on the bench.

Salah should know that he cannot get what he wants every conceivable time. However , it is too late for him now especially at Liverpool.

Talk of Salah renewing his contract. He's reportedly said that he wants to end his career at Liverpool so, unless talks have started, I guess it's up to the new manager to decide. I can't see him walking in and selling, arguably, the club's best player.

Well, unless he learns how to accept being benched when the manager deems it necessary, that's hardly likely.
He can't expect a starting place until he himself decides it's not right - that was Hendo's undoing.

It takes two to tango: Liverpool have the right to say NO.

    We will see.

We need to drop a few illusions about the squad and rationally assess against where we might like to be (at least trying to keep with arsenal)

We have a good ways to go to really deliver with the new reality of the cl to think about and a lot of youth product to try to bring on.

The club needs to address the issues it's run into with fitness and form. We are doing very well for a long time but consistently digging deep to scrap for the results. We have blown up big time.

How we do that is a hard question to answer but we had a massive amount of muscular injuries. How we manage thst next year I don't know but I feel we need to just reshape things a bit and get to the forefront of tactical play again.

Clubs followed klopp. Now he looks beat and the tactics look poor.

We just need to get back to a game thsts effective.

After all we were the second best defence and second best attack until we blew up. We were leaky but it was going well against the bottom clubs.

Add 6 thrown away points to our tally (palace and everton) and of course reverse the outrageously stupid atlanta result and all would be well.

However things don't work like that and we blew up.

Tbf it's the first time he's been dropped as opposed to rested and he doesn't like it. Of course he doesn't. Klopp was right to drop him. I think part of the problem was that he maybe thought that he should have come on sooner. I thought the subs were late and should have come on sooner.

It's a highly emotional time all round with Klopp leaving. Passions run high. We know Klopp has a temper, now we know Salah has too. These things usually sort themselves out away from the pressures of the field of play. Let's hope they have kissed and made up. Salah would do well to explain his side.

I agree he should give his side of the story, then we can judge whether we think it's reasonable or not.
But like I said, it would need to be a very good story to justify him fanning the flames afterwards - his frustration at being left out isn't enough for me.
Perhaps it's just the way I am, but I have no time for players thinking they're bigger than the manager. Whatever organisation you're in, you do as the boss tells you - that's just how it is, and how it has to be in order to work.

De Bruyne did similar with Guardiola when he was hooked part way through our game. Very visible heated exchange, almost identical body language, oddly enough. I don't recall anything being said on that occasion or anywhere near the fuss that's being created over Salah. Then again, we are treated very differently in the media.

Didn't Salah only sign a new deal last summer? Or was it the year before?

I personally think it would be silly to extend his contract on the large deal he's on. Although still getting the numbers (boosted with penalties) and still a great player, he's clearly in decline too. We'll end up with another Hendo situation; long overpriced contract in a year or two when he can't do it to the same level any more.

Time to cash in. And the recent antics have no baring on this opinion either, water under the bridge and it'll all have been resolved already (and if not, Klopp leaves after three more games)

I personally would prefer to keep him if he wants to stay.

He has had a tough time this season, the disappointment of the ACON, the public spat between his club and his country, a prolonged injury which he has very little experience of, missing out of the LC final and then going from 3 competitions to zero in a month coupled with poor personal form.

He needs a break and maybe a new lease of life with a different manager, tactics, formations etc. He's human after all.

The reality of letting Salah go would be a scary one for me, given the fact Jota averages about 25 games a season due to injuries too...

I've said all season I wouldn't let him go unless we had someone to replace him, as for various reasons the current team wouldn't be able to cover his contribution. I can't hide the fact that I'm extremely disappointed in his behaviour at the weekend, but that initial feeling remains.
He can go, but only if we have an adequate replacement.
I really don't want to keep banging on about this, but if he stays I do think an open apology would go a long way to restoring some faith in him for a lot of fans - me included.
