I thought we had sold out our allocation pretty quickly... I wanted to go but couldn't get a ticket!

You could see there were a lot of empty seats on the TV though - imagine it's mainly down to being school holidays and a lot of families away. We get the same, especially in the Vic Road end

Although we have quite a good away buying record only those hardcore away supporters were able to buy last year, I presumed the same this year. Surely they sold out, a great away w/e at this time of year?

They've made it even harder to get away tickets now too!

Last season Category A you had to be a season ticket holder and been to 6 away games in the last 3 seasons - now it is 10 games

Cat B is for Non-ST holders who had been to 6 away games (I think now also 10), and Cat C is for all ST Holders

I don't really mind as it has rewarded those who go a lot but it does mean I have dropped down to Cat C... and with links to Bournemouth it was one I really wanted to go to - but got my Southampton ticket no problem!

same here Southampton no problem apart from the 70 min call from the USA that would have cost me 15 to get though to the ticket office

It does make life extremely hard for us 'casuals' to attend though - home or away. I have a fan ID, but it hasn't had a lot of recent use so I'm way down the pecking order for tickets. Oh for the days of 'pay on the day' - I guess I'll have to wait until the extension to the new stand is added - I can't really see us getting 30K attendances every home match...

Very often they go on general sale Home or away you just have to time it right either wait an hour on the phone or book on line

I can see why they do it though... but there also seems to be plenty that get to General Sale - Southampton just has! Unfortunately it will just mean you can't get all the games you want

I'll want to go to the Spurs game at Wembley, but think we may only have 3k tickets for it so not sure it'll even to get to Cat C (would be interesting to see the figures for each category)

Guess that is the price of success, unfortunately...

It's not just that though. I know you live a lot further away but, from where I live, arranging transport there & back at such short notice is most times very difficult. And then when Sky or BT decide to change the day or kick off time after arrangements have been made and paid for....

I fully understand its not easy and its not cheap (most away games prices are set at 20 now) plus if you live a long way from the vic then like Newcastle game it will not sell out just a though . I have had luck with Watford fans that cant go but is only to happy to get tickets for long term fans that cant buy them (from the 3 sites im on) big thanks to MR D on here

we sold our allocation. i only know this because my friend couldn't get a ticket coz they were all sold out on the internet and then he called the ticket office and they had one lonely ticket left which he bought. Took him hours but he seemed to think it was worth it ;)

    1. We should be classed as the home team for that game as the Vic is closer than WHL/their new stadium (jerzeypie informs me that we were the closest league club to Wembley before Spurs moved in)
    2. It may have been deceptive on TV, but there seemed to be more than 3k Chelsea fans in the away area, so have they made Wembley an exception to the rule?

We may have sold the allocation, but according to more than one report, we only had 1300 fans there.

Maybe a few ticket touts were left with a surplus? :)

there is a website that said they had 27 home fan tickets for 125 each for our game V Man c and the upper r for 150 each .So we now know how away fans get into home fan ends .Was the FA trying to stop fans being rip off

Is it ticketbis.net? I reported them to the club two years ago after finding them advertising tickets for a WBA match at between £137 and £168 each. Don't know if anything ever came of it though.
