I agree it will probably cost them. They would be in with a shout of the title this season if they had stayed at WHL.

Looking ahead, it's more important they keep their coach than any individual players - there's not really any big time Charlies in that squad, more a tight group playing for each other

Think Spuds should be fined for playing an artificial drum beat throughout the game to bolster the poor home support.

I like the fact they're keeping one stand as one tier.

The middle tier corporate ring around Wembley and The Emirates absolutely kills the atmosphere.

I'm hoping we do the same at our new stadium

I wish we weren't at Wembley either, only ground that made sense though with all things considered. FA sold out in 1991 with the semi finals getting played there.

And next season you'll be playing your home games at yet another unfamiliar ground. Agree about the semis, totally devalues the trip to Wembley.

1991? You sure about that? Didn't think semi-finals got moved to Wembley until the new stadium was built, that would make it early 2,000's ???

Nope, the FA used Wembley for a few SF's, but they were mostly played at neutral grounds, Wembley wasn't the exclusive venue for SF's until the new one opened in 2008

I watched something about Spurs' new ground and Daniel Levy on Sky Sports the other day, it said they've come up with a plan to have two pitches, one that rolls away under the main stand and one permanent, that the 2nd one would sit on top of in the event of NFL games etc. They're on about regular hosting of events on the 2nd pitch, so 2 events some weekends.

They have to maintain the realism of a permanent pitch, despite the 2nd one being on a frame... really interesting, well, not that interesting I wouldn't watch it again, but still, a lot of thought has gone into it.

I think this season could be a write-off though for Spurs in terms of picking up where they left off last season.

I saw that a while back, the technology required to maintain the sliding pitch doesn't even exist......so they're making it up as they go along, it'll be interesting to see if it actually works.

A couple of injuries to some top NFL players, the pitch will get the blame and Levy's idea will come crashing down.

As I understood it, the NFL pitch will be the one on the bottom, it's the footie pitch that'll retract

I thought it was quite regular but never liked the idea of it tbh. It's only done now to help pay for the stadium.

For two games per season? That's a bad move.

Does seem odd like, but I think the idea longer term is to have an NFL franchise based there permanently

I think Spurs will suffer this season playing at Wembley and not do anything particularly great. I think they will struggle to get top four or do well in the cups. But by the end of the season they will be used to playing at Wembley which will help them in the seasons to come if they manage to go on a good cup run.
