Saints signed a young GK earlier this week too, so that might mean that our pursuit of their keeper as our 3rd choice has some legs.
I hope that the hack talk about the player/agent strops was just that. Spurs to date seem to have had a good relationship with Ajax, and I would like it to continue.
Ajax hold Jan Vertonghen in high esteem and their fans are desperate for him to return one day. Likewise we may return to them one day for DeLight.......
Sanchez and Foyth would do for me, not sure about more signings. We have enough firepower, a plethora of attacking midfielders and a good defence so why more?
Because we're one or two injuries in attack away from a potential nightmare. With it looking like we're going to play more of a 352 this season, I'll be very surprised if we don't go for another option in attack.
We certainly do need Diop, because while Sanchez's signing means we can rotate Dier/Wanyama this season, the other midfield spot is still an issue: Dembele's injury problems are hard to ignore, Sissoko being a waste of space is even harder to ignore, and with Onomah out on loan that leaves Winks as the only reliable player in that position, and as Dembele isn't getting younger Diop would be a long-term solution.
I'm not entirely convinced that GKN and Vincent Janssen 's futures are totally secure. As long term projects both would benefit from a season out on loan. If we could get a Antony Martial/Josh King type forward, I think that Vinnie might depart and signing Sessegnon would do the same for GKN. We need to increase the real squad size by which I mean those that can actually come on the pitch and positively affect a PL game. Currently, it's one in (Sánchez) and one out (Walker). KWP and Foyth are peripheral squad members to my mind. I'd like to see three extra signings in addition to Foyth, not including a third goalkeeper. I'd be very happy with Sessegnon, Diop and Pereira or dropping one of the latter two if we could pick up a pacy forward. I'd go back for Barkley in January if money starts to run dry. Selling/loaning Sissoko, Vinnie and/or GKN should make that possible without affecting the books too much and might bring in players we can use because last season suggests those existing three bit-part players are just that, at best.
I think I saw Martin Jol suggest a loan for Vinnie would be in the best interests of both club and player, but at the moment we still need him available as an option. Get a fwd in and then it would be a definite possibility. I still have some hopes for GKN, but a 'squad' player, almost permanently injured and unavailable isn't much use unfortunately. Next few days will certainly be interesting!

Already I'm loving the Sanchez dance, and I'm hoping that it will be winding up Gooners and Chavs for many seasons to come.
If we do sign Foyth, then I wonder if he'll play a game or two with Sanchez in the U21/23s? We've got a PL2 game against West Ham on Monday and then one against Man Utd on Friday. Could be a way to get them up to speed and used to playing together.
