    Good Morning Everyone

Liam Cooper is carrying a knock and may miss tomorrows clash at the Stadium of Light!!

The 25 yo skipper will undergo a late fitness test.

Jansson has been talking to the YEP. He does not think we need any more defenders :-

"I don`t think we are going to need one more,"

"Matthew has shown how good he is as he started the season really well.

"And Conor was really good in the last game. I don`t want to say Conor is number four (fourth choice) but if you have a number four he has to be young, he has to be talented and a man for the future.

"You don`t have to get a player on loan only for one season to be number four. It is better to have a young player from around the Academy and if there is any trouble then we can also have Luke in the centre.

"I don`t think it`s going to be a problem and I don`t think we need another defender."

A 'number of players' including Doukara have been offered to Preston as they are surplus to requirements.

The 25yo was one of 3 or 4 players they have been offered to Preston during their visit to Elland Road earlier this month.

We would have to go all the way back to George Graham's era the last time Leeds drew 0-0 three times in a row.

It was December 1996 to be precise.

Are we about to see it happen again?

How many more players do Leds need to sign (if any) before the transfer window closes?

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

I saw on the BBC website that West Ham have told Snoddy he can leave, either on a permanent or on loan. Would you have him back? I would in a heartbeat on a season long loan. Having him and Alioski swapping wings during a game would be exciting and Snoddy brings a bit of a goal threat too!

We need to get rid of 2 or 3 players who are surplus to requirements and will never get a game. We do however need a striker and Lassoga is the man for me. We are trying to get him on loan with a £1.7m purchase fee (if promoted) and Hamburg to pay 60% of his wages. If no deal on his wages then no deal. We do need Wood to perform again to give us a chance of promotion but the odds on a repeat are slim as its never happened before in this league. Never happened as the striker usually goes to an average prem team and sits on the bench or dies on the pitch. That could still happen with Wood so need more than Ekuban. Lassoga is a regular scorer and at a higher/Prem level so you would think he would rip this league up

I think we will deffo score more goals from elsewhere on the pitch than we did last season. If we did we would have got into the play offs, so not worried this season.

Think the team is sorted if we get a striker

Not sure about Snoddy. If the return is something he wants with a passion then great but if it's just to pick up a pay check and keep himself in the shop window ......

Morning all. Snoddy would be a decent acquisition. But I'm not sure we need another wide midfielder. What we need is someone to play alongside Wood.

Other than that, I think we're done until January

Morning all. Id be quite happy if transfer window closed now. Strange theres only been one club put in a bid for Wood. Thought the Burnley bids would open the door for more. Note to self, must be careful not to mention opposing fans or teams as there are sensitive souls out there. Got me to thinking last night, the influence Irish players have had at Leeds down through the years and great to see two more figuring prominently. Pontus seems more than happy with the defensive cover we have

Agree with you in terms of not needing another wide man because of numbers ...but... for me Snoddy is one of those rarely available top 2 type of signings teams go for, a bit like Newcastle with Matt Ritchie last year

Can't argue with the sentiment Eric - just really rate him and always have :emoticon-0148-yes:

Don't normally advocate bringing ex players back but he just has that little extra that I think would make a big difference to any top end Championship side (cue cheap shot from Brisbane!!!)

No I just told him to boil his head - he's chilling

I'd really like snods back if his head is in the right space

Sniffy still only 29 so in theory should be still in his prime. I don’t see him back in Championship though. Every time he’s had a transfer, seems to find a pl club. Once again, I’d imagine he’d have to accept a drop in wages to come to us and we know how unlikely that usually is

F' me we seem to be getting so many into our U23's. If some of them come good I could see them being introduced into the first team this season, could be helpful around january time

True but the I don't see WH loaning him to one of their competitors so maybe a £20k per week contribution to his wages may be attractive to them & regular first team football in front of a large crowd may be attractive to him - time will tell, you could be right ... this time <whistle>

Eire with regard to Wood Burnley made 2 offers last one was £16m. West Ham, WBA & Brighton all in contact with the club :emoticon-0148-yes:

Snodds was great for us but so were plenty more. Snodds did ok at Norwich then did even better for Hull but couldnt save them. He then went to West Ham & didnt do much. Hes a top championship player but if he came to Leeds we would need to offload Sacko & Dallas as we have plenty of creativity on the flanks

With players like Snodds & Lassoga theres a possible downside (been mentioned before) regarding big time charlies on massive wages upsetting the balance of the dressing room.

Agree about upsetting the dressing room, look at Villa with a few big money men in their team.
