I'm well happy with 5 points from those opening 3 games, so pleased we got Larry instead of mckillus, a few more incoming and we'll be a force in this division
No we went behind against derby. But showed character to get the draw. Went well in front against Norwich and held on with a little wobble. Kept out Wednesday other than a screamer. If anyone had given us 5 points from 3 games very few safc fans would've turned it down.
Good point, poor second half, but this is a top six team and we could have been out of sight by half time if we had taken our chances.
It's a real shame Vaughan can't shoot cos the lads a really solid part of the team and it's class seeing him bursting for the shirt. If only he could finish...
He can mate, just looks like confidence is a big part of that part of his game. I watched the vid of his goals last season, got confidence striker written all over him. Sooner he gets his first goal the better, but yeah, he doesn't look as strong as he is, very deceptive physical striker who's done well imo.
Could be a real cult hero if he starts getting the odd goal. He's got some nice touches links well with Grabban and McGeady.
I was really hoping Vaughn would break his duck tonight. A goal would do him the world of good and reward him for his graft and link up play. Fingers crossed he smashes a few past Leeds..
I will probably get pelters for this but I think he's a lot like Jozy in that respect. If this goalless run goes on too long I'm worried he will become useless to us
I don't think he's like Jozy, movement is different. Vaughan is more mobile, will run the channels and play off the shoulder of the last man. I think there more to Vaughan's all round game. Oh and Jozy had the touch of a nonce.
I think Vaughan is a way better striker than Altidore, he's just one of them that needs lots of chances to score but will need fewer when he's playing with genuine confidence. He looks a handful.
I still maintain the one good thing Altidore did, that flick on against Newcastle, was actually a miscontrol and the only praiseworthy part of it was that he had the presence of mind not to chase after it. Christ he was ****.
It was but him staying in place did hold off the defender. As soon as he ****ed up he knew I had to hold his ground. Best thing he did was stand still for a split second
It's nice to buzz about the lads again ain't it. We've a team with heart that's half decent to watch. Better than what we expected. Looking forward to Leeds, hopefully nudge 35k
