Yeah they were really poor. Should have put 5 past them tbh Now we've got a bunch of headless chickens trying to not **** up at Anfield
I wouldn't say he's a flop, but he hasn't shown anything to say he's worthy of a world record transfer fee. The players who earn that accolade are usually the difference in the big games, almost from the off. That is certainly isn't something that can't be said of Pogba, so far. And let's not forget that he's no stranger to Man Utd, so there should've been even less of a settling in period, not more.
I know you twats are just on the wind up with Matty boy but I can't wait for you all to be eating your words by the end of the season. If you're not then I'll show my arse on Manchester town hall steps. I'm that confident he'll prove everyone to be massively incorrect.
Pogba will be quality. I just can't accept the fake praise. Absolute bollocks, as things stand he's been poor. Fact. Miller had better stats last season ffs and hes a left back.
Anyone who knows a thing about footie knows he's got the technical ability and athletism he will be great unless he does a nani or adriano. Just last year he was very hit and miss. If he was 20m hed be a bargain. As he's the most expensive player in the world back then it's just funny to get or digs in just like how it's great craic to get some digs in at Chelsea right now. Plus always fun to laugh at matt who is totally deluded up anything non united
I was there on Saturday. He and Wijnaldum were both just awful against a Chelsea reserve and some bloke no one has heard of.
I think that's a fair assessment, although in his first spell with us he made a handful of sub and LC appearances so it's not like he doesn't need to settle in after four years playing in a different league. Ultimately it all comes back to the fee, and as I said when he joined the fact he has a world record fee was, imo, a fairly big anomaly. We paid around 10% more than we sold Ronaldo for, seven years after we sold him. Over that period the price of bread and milk have gone up by more than 10%, and the revenues of the top 20 football clubs have risen by over 60%. Real were bringing in £340m a year when they paid £80m for Ronaldo, we were bringing in £515m a year when we paid £89m for Pogba. Transfer fees haven't kept up with the money for some reason. The amount of money in the sport has gone up massively over the last few years, the anomaly had been that there have been no really top quality players moving apart from Bale. It was inevitable someone would be break the record, without needing to be at the game changing level of Ronaldo. Same as when Denilson, Vieri and Crespo broke the record in the late 90s, none of them were truly world class or match winning players, certainly not to compare to Ronaldo and Shearer, but Had Neymar moved for £200m last summer and Pogba moved for £89m this summer I don't think anyone would have batted an eyelid. Or if they did they'd be comparing him to Lukaku, Rodriguez, Higuain and probably Countinho or Dembele rather than to Ronaldo. But as Bobby says, that wouldn't be half as fun for everyone to laugh at.
For me despite all the understandable cracks about being overpriced he is a good buy. is he a player better than anyone we had and does he significantly improve the first 11? Unequivocally yes. Was he and is he worth £60-70m bearing in mind his age ? Yes and Definitely yes now. Add to it the usual premium for United and a so called reluctant seller then £89m is not overpriced at all. And that is not counting his commercial value. I said it at the time and this summer's madness just seem to confirm it.
