    They won't though. The squad may actually be good enough, the way that Argie bloke has had them playing.

    But Wembley...

    I hope Arsenal win the league, because they are also reluctant to go mental in the transfer market, and because for all his faults Wenger is a decent man. But they won't win it either, because Wenger is also yesterday's man.

    Throwing a curve ball: what about VVD to Everton (he does want to live in Liverpool after all) in return for Ross Berkley+ £25m (RB wages for a five year contract)?
    That would be funny and think RB could be very successful as the big fish in a small pond

    Wouldnt call Barkley a big fish tbh, what has he ever actually done with all the potential he has? A few outstanding games every so often and then he goes back to being average. For me who wouldnt be a starter in any of the top 4 last season.

    well Everton are still in the market for a CB & want Barkley gone so all makes perfect sense . However some slight sticking points
    A) how many swop deals actually happen.
    B) Barklay is reputed to already turned down £100k p.w.
    C) Not sure he isn't after waiting for his contract to expire so he can really rake it in.

    At what point might a board ask whether risking a huge investment on a player who conducts himself like a complete tosser is not one they want to take? Others have mentioned Morgan. He pouted (bien-sur, il est francais) but then gave us one hell of a season. Mane? He was a young bloke who lost his compass occasionally, but how could anyone question his commitment in that end of season run that included that hat trick against City? No, VVD is in danger of making Lallana's antics seem OK.

    This bloke's got crap advisers. Are they the ones that Saint Theresa used during the election?

    well it is our right to decide how much we would be willing to sell a player for - just as it is yours in respect of your contracted players.
    When players have recently signed long term contracts any selling price is obviously going to be at the top end.

    ps whole story looks like pure guesswork with no sources but who knows for sure these days
