I think Diomande is more effective as a winger (more a wing forward) then as a striker.

I agree with you that our options are limited, I think we will get one in (think Kent will come to us), and will be forced to get another if Grosicki goes. Ideally I would like 4 wing forwards to come in but that won't be happening

 

No not good enough to start but did play wide left under phelan at times, and wouldnt be the worst in this league as backup

 

How did villa do last season? Im sure they struggled everyones bigging them up this season, curious as to why

 

Settled manager, settled squad, bringing in a couple of players to top up their quality. They'll do well. Not top 2, but certainly top 6 I think.

Its looking very very shabby, big obvious shortages still and not alot of time to prepare any new signings for villa, are we putting too big an emphasis on players returning and being ok like odubajo, will keane and ryan mason as well as hoping lenihan and henriksen stay injury free

Slutsky and ehab definatly not on the same page, cant see this one lasting long, this head of recruitment wants ****ing off already, and were now at the point where were massivley struggling to attract players either due to an owners bad reputation or unwillingness to spend

Midtable obscurity could be ambitious if we don't start to fill the squad out, at the moment all it would take is an injury to Dawson and we're starting the season with unrecognised centre backs, we've got a right back at left back and a crock at right back, 2 wingers, one of which clearly gives zero ****s and with 46 league games to play and a lot of sat then tues fixtures we'll really struggle

 

If our recruitment is slow, I can't see how ****ing off the Head of Recruitment will help. He needs more power to recruit, not less.

As well as good new signings, there's a hell of a difference between a manager parachuting in mid season and being asked to get immediate results and having 6 months to assess a squad and then 3 months to plan for next season.
