Where's our weekly update on the doom and gloom of Brexit from our two moaning remainiacs, surely there must be some bad news, i'm sure I heard something about BMW moving their business from Oxford or somewhere like that

I'm surprised they haven't looked into CBI's recent report - remember CBI's director-general John Cridland was a remain campaigner!!

"The CBI's survey for the last three months shows that manufacturing grew at the fastest pace since 1995, headcount and hiring are strong and export orders are healthy.

The parallel with 1995 is highly relevant because it followed Britain's exit from the exchange rate mechanism, the precursor of the euro, in 1992."

I'm sure it's because we "haven't left yet".

    Some bad new though

0.2% of bankers are saying they might move. *
HSBC, the first bank to say they might move to Paris or Franfurt are now saying "200 jobs" might relocate - baton down the hatches, I bet the other
250,000 bankers that work in London are worried <laugh>

They are busy scratching their heads wondering how to put a negative spin on the fact that the number one global superpower wants a free trade deal with us - give it a few weeks and they might come up with something.

You might want to look at what bmw are doing in totality. £180mill on a giant new factory in germany, 50p in oxford. In effect oxford is being mothballed and will only be used to put cars together that will have engines built in germany.
We are to become a warehouse.

Once the eu take currency passporting onto the mainland 25% plus of city jobs are going to paris and franfurt.

But trump is going to save us.....<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

The reason we were quiet was because you lot keep whining when we point out what your spin actually means.
    Free movement
    Huge divorce bill
No access to the biggest market in the world, the one on our doorstep, or a huge fee and no say on how the market works if we stay in it.

No need for me to change the record, its as accurate as it was fifteen months ago. Even though brexitears have moved from it being all about jonny foreigner to trying to protect the economy.

I know exactly what was announced.
    You patently don't.

The engines are being built in Germany. All this is, is the totally logical step of fitting the engines in the plant where the car body is already assembled. in effect the petrol/Diesel engine plants will be closed over time and not replaced with the manufacture of electric or hybrid engines. The £180mill new plant being built in Germany will take the mini when its opened.

Read beyond the headline. Oxford was a one liner in a huge statement of intent from BMW. Oh= and we haven't heard about the sweetheart bribes the government had to offer to secure these crumbs yet.

On a positive note, Farage is whining on in the Telegraph today about the Tory government betraying the British people and watering down Brexit

Can but hope he's right for a change

Funny that, when the Gernans announced, they chose Oxford over Germany and Holland, where it could have been done, they did have a bit of a moan that the Government didn't/wont offer inducements. All there to see,but not when your eye's are shut.<doh>

Japan looking to trade with us.

Corbyns party do a u turn.

Seems there's a trade boom since Brexit, I heard New Zealand are also looking to trade with UK once we leave the EU.

Australia has also said it wants to create a trade deal with the UK the day after we leave the EU.

A trade deal with the USA is also on cards, which means no EU tariffs = cheaper products.

Brexit looking better and better for us and our country......:emoticon-0148-yes:

Hey Australia and NZ are going to get a deal done with the EU ASAP it is a big market and we need to export. It makes sense that Australia, NZ and other countries will be getting trade deals sorted with the UK as once they leave the EU there wont be any in place but none of these deals can be agreed until the UK leaves We are particularly interested in agricultural exports as your agricultural industry will fold once the EU subsidies are removed, Happy days for us!!. The deal can obviously be discussed but can't be signed until 2018, 2022 or whenever. Trump perhaps wont be in place after 2020 so having him onside, if infact he is, may not count for much.

Remember these other countries are not doing this out of a love for the UK they intend to make money for themselves.

And now, the hard facts, GDP grew a miserly 0.3% last quarter

    Pathetic

Most of that was due to services up 0.5%, industrial output was down 0.4% and construction down 0.9%

Does not sound good to me, either at a total level or for manufacturers who still can't sell their stuff even with pound going through the floor

    Pathetic

We are taking back control of what will become again the sick man of Europe

    1) China 1.7
    2) India 1.5
    3) = USA & Turkey 1.4
    5) South Korea 1.2
    6) Brazil 1.0
    7) Canada 0.9
    8) Mexico 0.8
