http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hull-city-boss-leonid-slutsky-231421 Have we actually signed Mazuch? It mentions it in this article, we haven't had confirmation?
Stating the obvious I know but here goes anyway, Ehab's a total ****ing idiot. Oh and while I'm on the subject of the boy blunder I was talking to one of our finance reps today who lives in Leeds, he was telling me that his Mrs. had gone on a hen night on Ehab's yacht, this had been arranged by a friend of hers who had some sort of connection to the odious ****, a few days later she received a message from him asking if she fancied meeting up in Leeds, she politely declined but asked what business he was in, he responded by saying that he owns a football club. It just made me feel a little bit sick, the **** him.
I dont class Diomande as a winger by all means have a winger able to cut in but we also want them able to cross - something Grosicki can't do from the left - in fact I think all of them are severely limited on the left do you really think Ehab will be able or willing to sign two wingers?
Diomande is a forward but so far not a good one, he's not good in the wing he can try hard there but not a good passer or crosser of the ball
Diomande's best position is as an inside forward. Who sits out wide in a wingers position but instead of running to the byline and putting in a cross he instead picks up the ball, cuts infield and runs directly towards goal and directly at the oppositions defence. By doing this you allow your wing backs to bomb forward hugging the touch line getting up towards the byline. Giving Diomande the option to pass back out wide. However, ideally with his pace he wants to be laying off the ball to the forwards or attacking central midfielders. Cutting inside causes a problem for the oppositions defence because it draws them forward and out of shape in order to commit the challenge. Which then leaves more space for the forwards, attacking midfielders and wing backs. I think one of Diomande's best qualities largely goes unnoticed and that would be his ability to disrupt the oppositions shape. Diomande had a great start to lasts season against the likes of Leicester and showed he has potential. I reckon given the chance, he will find his level in the Championship. His finishing isn't great admittedly but he does have some qualities and I would much rather be with them than without them with the depleted squad we have.
if a player is right footed and on the left wing it is easy for the full back to make him totally ineffective by shepherding him down the line
Like Hazard or Martial or Ribery or Robben? The list goes on. Every single defender knows what Robben wants to do but they're still not able to stop it.
I know what your saying but if you want a forward to run at someone that's fair enough but we look bad when we have one on his own for me if you are playing a wide forward your main striker is still isolated. I don't think we have the players for luxuries like an inside forward so to speak we'd be better off with either 2 up top or one playing s little deeper. We definitely need more wide options than we have.
That was my point. It's not due to it being a right footed player on the left, it's what he does with it.
so we need more wingers add that to needing more centre backs, strikers, full backs and a better third choice goalkeeper other than that we are sorted
Your right and wingers left back need to be starting players cb needs more depth and then need more squad Players. Only In my opinion obviously
Hasn't The Slut been trotting out this '4 players soon' line a bit too long now? I'm sure it started at the end of June. You can't fault his optimism, bless 'im. I on the other hand think we're royally ****ed. We appear to be the worst prepared team in the division at the moment, so thank the Lord we face a minnow at home on the opening day. Oh wait...
