Not sure I envisaged Pierre going to Northampton. I thought we may see him make it a little further up the football tree or to perhaps a bigger club. Good luck to him though. He has been a great player for us and always have maximum effort, even at petrol stations

They are pretty much always going to take the cash on offer aren't they. Short career and all that bullshit.

I have been watching a few players over the last few seasons who seem to have an opinion about themselves that they should be way up the tree. Turns out in most cases that others don't agree and they end up scambling around and not getting the contract they thought they should. He was a decent player as I remember and you lot thought he was as well so I suppose his head gets swelled into thinking he is going to do a lot beter aided and abetted by ourselves talking him up. League one is higher than league two so I suppose he has improved his lot and pay packet. Lets see if he impresses next season. It takes a bit of effort to get into the league above these days. My son was telling me tonight about a player signing for Middlesborough on £60k a week. If they are paying that kind of money for players then I think you have to be better than average to get there.

Having played at the side of Mawson for a season who has gone on to be a successful Premier player probably did'nt help, if he can do it so can I.

Here is a survey of footballers' wages. That was in 2006. Dread to think what it is now. Interesting that, in general, strikers get paid more than mid fielders who get paid more than defenders who get paid more than goalies. Always exceptions of course. Given that if the goalie and defenders keep clean sheets, the strikers only have to score 1 between them and given that if it weren't for the mid fielders, the strikers might not even get a chance to score, that seems a bit unfair to me.

As you all know i'm not Ainsworth's biggest fan but one thing he does well is find great central defenders so i would expect another to come in on loan for at least back up to El-Abd,not forgetting Sido played well there at the end of last season.

The season is not going to plan for the headbutter ! pointless and not comfortable in a 3-5-2 formation

Serves Pierre right,he may have looked good in League 2 but League 1 is too much for him according to Northampton fans on various forums.

    Bit harsh Mowgli ole chap
You cant knock him for trying to improve himself and I am sure he has done well financially out of it. being honest, I thought he would easily fit in to a league 1 club and hoped when he left, that he would move to one of the so called bigger clubs. Seems like they are a general shambles by their league position.

All is forgiven Aaron. We will have you back when they are thoroughly fed up of you

Just going by Northampton forums they are not impressed, had he gone to a so called big club i would have wished him well, at least we might see him at Adams Park next season but not for the reason he wanted. <laugh>
