I have seen his name but who is Tom Broadbent. I don't think that our local reporters have anything to fear from Ellis after that interview Delete the question re Tom Broadbent have just read Rovers latest news,
Do you think Broadbent flew all the way back today to the Mem from Portugal to sign his contract and to pose with a scarf above his head and then flew straight back to re-join the squad or do you think he signed a contract before traveling to Portugal (more likely) which then raises the question, why have the club waited until today to release this news?
An interview with Broadbent with the Guardian... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jul/20/army-bristol-rovers-tom-broadbent-afghanistan
So there was a delay at the airport leaving Portugal meaning some players didn't get home until 4am on the same day they got to face FGR. I know a fair few fans was going to the game so I understand why DC wanted to reward the traveling fans with 1st team players. However, this is just a friendly and DC should have played the players who was not involved at Portugal to protect the players that he did actually play. Im sure the fans would understand as again this was just a friendly and fans should realise, its just a friendly and no guarantees over the line up.
How do you think pre season's going so far? We've lost quite a few and not scored many goals. Hopefully everyone will be really fit and everything will start to gel quickly. The odds for relegation are about the same as for promotion - 6/1, which seems a bit weird.
It seems in the last few seasons we have started the pre-season very well only for it to die out but obviously these games are meaningless. Yes strange odds I think we will finish around 10th place again
