Just one more time, "Closing Time" by the late Leonard Cohen. Songwriter, singer, poet, a Canadian legend:

    RIP Leonard <rose>

Something quite different, a bit of Reggae from Bob Marley's son, Damian "Jr.Gong" Marley, "Smoke Gets In My Eyes". :emoticon-0100-smile

Really don't know what Jerome Kern and Otto Harbach would think of this, if they were alive today? Little do they know, this is top Rastafari ganja music......<laugh>

Critical and iconoclastic - Hans Haacke.

Very interesting interview with Hans Haacke, "the grand master of political concept art. He's alert, uncompromising and unorthodox." He's certainly not afraid to put forward his own opinions, even though they probably don't go down too well with a lot of people, especially the many who seem to be in denial of the Nazi regime days.

Sad to hear of the death of actor Martin Landau (although he had a good innings - got to 89). As I callow youth I was transfixed by the series Moonbase Alpha where he starred alongside Barbara Bain (I could never quite work out whether I fancied her or not). I must check You Tube for videos of that cult series ....................

I watch Martin Landau in “Mission: Impossible” as Rollin Hand, which also featured Barbara Bain as Cinnamon Carter. It is repeated on CBS Action (Freeview ch. 64). By Moonbase Alpha, do you mean “Space: 1999”? That was a British TV series from Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson.

Landau was famously a good friend of Leonard Nimoy. He turned down the role of Spock in the original Star Trek series because he wanted to stick to film work and Nimoy got it.
