Quality keeper " all know my choice" Kalas on loan + C/F and no more selling, especially the youngsters.
Remember him from season 2015/16 - the night Kevin McDonald absolutely bossed the game. And Ojo was a handful. Here's a link to the Club match report: http://www.fulhamfc.com/first-team/2015_2016/league/home/wolverhampton-wanderers
The U23s played Braga in a friendly at the weekend. He wasn't in their squad for that game but he has been pictured wearing our gear - please log in to view this image Frankly, no idea what he's like or why on earth we want to sign yet another young keeper.
My eldest says that Ojo is really good. Beyond that, I've nothing to contribute on this. It sounds like he's another one to compete with Ayite, Aluko, Kabano, Sessegnon for the wide roles in our attacking three rather than a central striker. While I'm happy to add more quality in any position, I'm not sure he's what we actually need right now.
Resigning Piazon and being linked with Ojo (as well as the sale of Malone) would suggest that Sessegnon will be our first choice left back next season and will play on the wing only intermittently. I am okay with that. Alternatively it suggests we see Ayite & Aluko as genuine CFs rather than wingers, and that would concern me...
Not sure whether this is good news, but like Lucas Piazon before he re-joined on loan, Tomas Kalas has signed a contract extension with the Dark Side. The definite bad news is that today he flew out to China with them for their pre-season tour. [Bottom left]
I think that the Kalas contract is good (ish) news for us. It means that they are looking to loan him out rather than sell him, and I think we are his preferred destination over Hull. We are being linked with Che Adams from Birmingham and Oliver Norwood from Brighton. Adams is a 21 year old forward, with pace and power but only one season in the Championship. Having supposedly had a £5m bid knocked back, I think that deal is unlikely. Norwood is a 26 year old midfielder with bags of Championship experience with Huddersfield, Reading & Brighton. If he is available on loan I could see this happening, but I am never keen on loan deals for older players from clubs on a similar level.
'Arry is said to be sniffing around Newcastle's Darryl Murphy for something like £3m so you never know where it might go with our bid for Che Adams.
I think I'd rather have Murphy for £3m. I know he's old (and therefore outside our moneyball approach), but he would function well as the forward bringing our wingers into play. Adams is a real shot in the dark.
We along with other teams seem to be in the mix for every player that possibly may move, but there never seems to be any mention of bringing in a quality keeper which i feel must be one of our priorities.
I'm getting quite tired of Rolan now. He clearly wants to leave Bordeaux but just as clearly does not to sign for us. If he wants to wait past next week, I feel we need to move on and find another target.
Latest news is that Kalas is about to sign a year log loan with the Turkish club Betsikas. Is it not time our management team got their finger out and make the sort of effort to sign him as they have over that time waster Rolan
The Mirror are saying we're bidding £3m for centre forward Jerome Cameron from Norwich - our first opponents of the season. At 30 he doesn't fit in with our 'recruitment panel's' age qualification but he's proven in the Championship, with 16 and 21 goals in the last two seasons. And, he's said to be one that Jokanovic likes. At 6'1" he'd certainly add a presence to our front line. Very much doubt Norwich will let him go at that price though - a seller's market and all that - so sit back for a degree of silence until after 5th August.
Doesn't matter how much we would pay, Norwich would be idiots to sell us any of their players before the game on the 5th.
Sky Sport are saying that the season long loan of Oliver Norwood has been agreed with him and Brighton, subject to the infamous medical. The 26 year old international certainly adds experience to our midfield. Not sure about that No.16 though and of course still leaves the priority positions vacant.
Is Norwood cover for Johansen, or more of a different midfield option? Either way, he adds experience of promotion with Brighton as well as nearly 200 Championship appearances.
Off already - we've decided to pursue "other options". Source: http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ews/fulham-decide-against-making-bid-13378705
