I see that a couple of new ‘partnerships’ have just been announced in the old NH sphere. Jonathan Burke will be the new stable jockey for old boy Charlie Longsdon whilst Ben Pauling has taken out a ‘second claim’ re Daryl ‘Dazzler’ Jacob and the latter will ride for him when available – the Munir/Souede axis will still have first call on Jacob’s services.

What do we think then, team, re these new saddle monkey contracts??? Good, bad, indifferent?!? Also, what other changes/additions would you like to see in the old NH riding arrangements.

I'd like to see the greatest ever jockey, Sir Anthony McCoy, make a comeback <ok>

I'd also like to see "Touchy" Fehily get a few more good rides.

It would also be great if Rachael Blackmore could get some better quality rides to allow her to challenge for the champion jockey's title over in Ireland <ok>

He’s actually moved to a house close to where Neil Mulholland trains. Guess this is where most of his rides will be coming from this term. Getting on a bit now though old ‘Touchy’ – 42 on Christmas Eve.

Old boy Mulholland is a genius. Forget your Harry Fry's and your 'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bless little' Danny Skelton's he's the long-term heir to Mr Henderson's crown.

I do like Neil Mulholland, and I thought his handling of Midnight Chase a few seasons ago absolutely first class. I hope he has a change of luck with Shantou Village this season, I would love to see him land one of the big chase handicaps (Paddy Power Gold Cup nudge nudge wink wink)
